At present the plan for Friday is to meet outside our lodgings' (most of us are in neighbouring hotels) for the short walk uphill to Solomons temple. 12.00 meet, then we can make a group decision afterwards for other activities.

That's fine if Sue comes. My John can't walk either and there may be a few others just hanging around!

Re: Buxton, England 1st Sept.
We'd love to see you Wendy and Tony. Some of us are arriving Thursday so we can sort out a place to meet up in the afternoon or early evening of Thursday and take it from there.

Re: Buxton, England 1st Sept.
Thanks Ken for all that. Did you have a day out in Buxton?
I re-did a local walk yesterday to lead a group of 12 -15 today,
and got so lost that for a time I panicked about finding my way back to where I left my car!
See you soon.

Re: Buxton, England 1st Sept.
Hi folks, I have been totally out of reach on holiday after leaving home without my phone, which I have just found stuck down the side of the seatbelt holder of my car after a short journey I made before going away. John and I will be arriving on Thursday for 3 nights so can pick up some information...

Thanks Ken.
A few of us have booked the Roseleigh guesthouse for 3 nights, arriving Thursday afternoon. It's a door or 2 along from the Westminter

Buxton, England 1st Sept.
Some of our UK members who went to Barmouth for a walking weekend back in 2009 are meeting up again later this year for an informal get together for some walking and socialising. There are lots of B and B's and guest houses in the town, a theatre, opera house, cafes and places to visit as well as lo...

Re: R.I.P. Andrew McGeever
Yes Lizzie, Andrew and I saw Leonard perform live at Edinburgh Castle, when I stayed over for a couple of days at his home, and Andrew came to us when Leonard played in Liverpool. John and I also saw his son Daniel play with his band in a club in Chester one night. I feel so sad that that he didn't ...

R.I.P. Andrew McGeever
It is with great sadness that I inform old-time members of the Forum of the passing away of an early member and contributor here, mostly to the poetry section. Andrew's wife Lesa rang me last night after receiving my Christmas card. It seems Andrew died in February quite soon after being diagnosed w...

Re: LC Walking Weekend (2009, 2011, 2013, 2015)
The directions appear to say that when landing at Barcelona airport the only way to get to Vic is to travel into the centre of Barcelona to either Sants station or Placa Catalunya. Is this correct?
