A Well of souls. this piece was written as my reflection on working three years or so mental health crisis intervention; there's an awful lot of suffering...

Re: Coward's Explanation

an explanation that relies on the cause and the effect would confine the situation to a mundane world where A follows B with metronomic predictability; choosing to go beyond this cyclic inevitability locates the action in a world where events are less conditioned and more liable to be the result of ...

Re: Hallelujah on UK X-Factor (all threads merged here)

maybe I've had a bit too much of the red stuff but I just watched the video on the myspace link and, well I guess I can go with that, I certainly wouldn't argue with it as a Xmas no.1, meself I think Leonard will be chuffed (colloquial English word meaning 'well pleased')

Re: Hallelujah on UK X-Factor (all threads merged here)

reading (quickly) through these posts I guess it just goes to show how subjective these things are I thought JLS did it really well, subtle and understated (at least by X-factor standards) Alexandra on the other hand, I thought had no idea about the song whatsoever and was just belting out what she ...

Re: Big Chill (Aug 3)

very interesting post ziyad, much that I agree with I too felt the difference between the reverential and meditative atmosphere (at the Opera House in my case) and the unrestrained exuberance at the Big Chill, I appreciate both of them but for sheer ecstatic celebration of Leonard and his genius I p...

Re: Big Chill (Aug 3)

just got back, how many more superlatives can you keep piling on? Leonard and the band just seem to get better (I was at two of the Op. House shows), this was an amazing gig, something about being outdoors, the festival atmosphere etc too short of course but some of the songs really rocked, Everybod...

Re: Glastonbury (June 29)

just watched the neil diamond footage online, absolutely inspirational (and I'm not particularly a fan) many have praised Leonard's band here (and I'm not criticising them) but wow, neil diamond's band are awesome and the connection he made with the crowd also, if only we could have seen Leonard doi...

Re: Glastonbury (June 29)

this is a hard one to call without having direct access to the people who made the decision but I can't believe that showing footage of Leonard would make any difference to sales of a tour DVD unless to increase them due to more people watning to buy as result so that means that the reason given on ...
