Thanks but I'm thinking I'd better leave here while my soul is still intact. I am too fragile and vulnerable to engage in defense of my poetic "children". I would never judge another's poetry whether I understood it or liked it or related to it or not. Poetry is my life's blood and the air...

This says it better than I ever could

Poems from Someone You Know Poems from someone you know are a responsibility like confidences told over kitchen tables on rainy afternoons An offering with hands cupped around a fragile beauty letting you in for a look Received and accepted, but held carefully lest the vulnerabilities are touched to...

What a shock to log on this evening and have a stranger's hand coming out of the computer and slapping my unsuspecting face. For a moment, I thought to delete everything I had posted thus far and never return but then I thought, no, I didn't deserve that. That was a bully being a bully and hurting p...

I once lived in Dayton, Ohio. A very cold and frightening city. And the reference to the "invisible man" ??? by that I meant that I had all the elements of a romantic enviroment except for a solid dance partner.

Greater Than The Last

Greater Than The Last Pain....... Intangible but nonetheless... Real Like nothing else in this life It blots out the joy like a cloud The sky Darkens on a sweet summer morning Thick and full and stifling Like heat from a thousand ovens And cold like the loss of a coat In the snow Pain......... Envel...

NightStalker of North Carolina: a verse for you. In North Caroline out in the pines There lives a man of few Words and lines, he wastes no time But what he says is true. by Voo on the spur of the moment. (did you know that moments have spurs?) I Was Born With Wings

I Was Born With Wings I was born with wings that were clipped from my young shoulders After running wild and free on this grim earth After two or three years of flying and living Innocent and unconcerned with terrestial things and human pain The loss of my wings brought me anguish And sorrow and hea...

So glad to find some true appreciators of poetry at last. But I must be careful. My head is ballooning with the compliments! Question! Are there any fans of "dark, supernatural prose" here? I used to have a paranormal site and posted some cool writings on there about monsters and vampires ...

That really struck a chord with me. I could relate to most of it. However for other reasons. My family is so racially and culturally diverse that I have never known which culture to identify with and so have never truly felt a part of anything. I've stood on the outskirts of the world all my life lo...
