Springsteen covers Cohen

I stumbled on this version of Bruce Springsteen singing Suzanne with a band called the Castilles recorded in 1967. Bruce had some practicing to do before he found his stride! LOL Listen only upon your own peril.

Re: QUIZ 2010: where is the last concert

I refuse to enable the mindset that the tour will ever end and Leonard's voice will ever be still!

Re: 2012 Leonard Cohen Event

As I stated earlier, Madison has become one of my favorite cities, and that surprised me. I have lived here for 11 years now and have no plans to leave. There are many good hiking and biking trails nearby and thru the city. Madison is a very strong biking community. Joe, I look forward to perhaps me...

Re: Leonard & Lost

Perhaps we should petition CBS to replace Katie Couric with Lenny to read the evening news. Lenny has more worldly experience and a voice that has gravitas!

We need an "All Lenny...All the Time Universe"

Leonard & Lost

Although I attempt to avoid the "All Lenny... All the time" mindset here, I was kinda thrilled that the TV hot TV show "Lost" showed previews of next week's show with Leonard singing "Bird on a Wire" as soundtrack.

Maybe we finally are arriving at an All Lenny all the time universe!

Re: "The Remarkable Life of Leonard Cohen" (new book)

Jarkoo! LOL!

Reynolds is a type of concrete design and a book about it comes up when you search "Reynolds" on amazon.

Our Mr. Cohen "Reynolds" has never written a book about concrete design.

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Nashville, November 5

As a Dutch-Canadian now living in the US, I must admit I drop my "u's" and say "zee" instead of "zed".

But I still think that watching the sport of Curling on television is exciting. That's the true measure of someone is Canadian.

Re: How to flag Valencia clip as inappropriate

I am uncomfortable being part of a forum that advocates censorship. There are many in this world who would censor and ban Leonard's words in song and prose. Who decides what is censored? Those of you who are uncomfortable veiwing the video of Leonard collapsing have an opportunity to do a self-exami...

Re: QUIZ: where is the last concert of the tour?

My living room, of course, and Charlie Webb could hold my hand again as she did in Minneapolis.

Be still my heart at the thought.

Re: SPRINGSTEEN vs. COHEN

I've seen Bruce live and in two weeks I'll see Lenny dance like white man!

I eat apples and oranges daily and never ask myself which is better. They both nourish me and make me a happier person.

Re: Chicago

A guy I know who was a big Cream fan heard about the reunion concert at Albert Hall a few years ago. He and buddy calculated what it would cost to go with airfare and decided their wives would never go for it. Months later he was watching the concert on PBS with his wife, and she turned to him and s...

Re: Seat # not specified on order?

It must have been some technical glitch. I had the same problem, but I phoned them and they confirmed a seat assignment and I checked their website and it confirmed my seat.
