Re: Krakow Event FAN Slideshow

So many warm memories, reverie, and melancholy watching the slideshow set to Chopin. ❤️

Re: On the chance someone is still out there...

My heart is with you in your brother's shocking death. I'm so sorry. Might you be able to contact Coast to Coast and, hopefully, get some answers?

Dearest Jarkko (and, implicitly, Eija, as well... and Rauli) ~

I'll return tomorrow to edit and write... for now, it is late and I must sleep; however, I wanted to say at least something to you before I do. Love, Lizzie XXX

Re: Leonard's Hydra Bench Missing Its Perspex

That was my thought, as well. Then, I wondered if someone might come along and gouge out the wood or carve other [nonsense] things into it. I'd like to think that it was visitors and not a local. Otherwise, someone may be determined to just destroy it.

Re: Leonard's Hydra Bench Missing Its Perspex

Hey, thanks for those clarifications, Lisa. I had no idea. I just figured was a term that was derivative of "perspective" ( i.e. providing a perspective to the meaning of the bench).
I feel that it must have been stolen, but am hoping otherwise.

Leonard's Hydra Bench Missing Its Perspex

I'm unfamiliar with the term Perspex, but it apparently is what "I came so far for beauty" that was attached to Leonard's bench is called. According to the account and photo of someone on FB, it is gone. It sounds like out-and-out theft to me, but would anyone here know anything or have a ...

Re: AlanM has passed away

Dear Paul and Laura ~ I'm only just now learning of your dear father's death. He and I interacted some on the Forum (he was here for so many years!), and what I remember most is that when I saw his signature symbol, I knew that what I was going to read would be invariably thoughtful, kind, and intel...

Re: Michael Wolkind passed away

I'm so sorry to read this sad news and for me shocking news of Michael's passing. I knew that his health was declining from personal comments made privately by a friend a good while ago. I didn't anticipate this to come so relatively soon, however. I'll always remember Michael in so many different w...

Re: Question regarding an old Hydra article on the internet

Hi Barry ~ I'm sorry if you got excited seeing that someone responded to you, only to be disappointed to find that I'm no help, at all. I hope that someone here *can* be helpful to you and will respond. The article sounds very charming. My only suggestion is that you look through the Leonard Cohen F...

Re: Nick Cave

Hi Abby ~ I've just read the letter exchange between Russell and Nick Cave. I'm profoundly moved by the depth and empathy of Nick's meaningful and extremely detailed response to Nick... not only giving him historical information on the album itself, but relating it to his own responses to the listen...

Re: Hello, I'm new to this forum... (introducing yourselves)

Hi Tigercat ~ Welcome to the Forum. It's been quite awhile. I hope that you'll read this. I'm sorry for your loss of your beloved husband. Fifty-two years is a lifetime. I can only imagine how profound it was for you to have Leonard's voice, those lyrics, the music, and as you've said, the pace of t...

Re: Recommend a bat mitzvah reading?

Hi oldangelmidnight (that's an interesting name that you've given yourself) ~ Welcome to the Forum!! If you're able to introduce what you're about to read, so as to contextualize it, I have a suggestion that I'd certainly feel comfortable with reading for this ceremony for a 12-year-old girl. It's s...
