Re: I rarely write no more, us, we, etc.

Greetings, my Dear Diana. I sincerely hope that the celebrations of your birthday bring you great joy in the company of the other members of the Dors family and with your friends (both of them). Like many things, an appreciation of comedy, along with many of the performing arts, is dependent on a nu...

Re: UnderCovid Police Officer

The last part is crystal clear, but your interpretation of the initial couple of code words is not clear.
In fact, I don't think they are words at all. Could there be a code within a code? Guidance for playing sport maybe?

Re: I rarely write no more, me

My dearest Diana, How kind of you to shower such a compliment on me, my gratitude knows no bounds (except on the golf course). I'd say, however, that I am more Frankie Boyle than Frankie Stewart. I thoroughly enjoyed the video clip and can most definitely relate to the final comment by your cousin S...

Re: never-ending psychology

Alan, I apologize for the inclusion of this information here, I did not do so to cause you stress, burnish your reputation, cause you fatigue, or cast you in a bad light. I posted it only to iron out the misconception about steel being rigid--hopefully quenching your thirst for knowledge--and I had...

This here place, (you are either forum of against um) is my bailiwick. ... 1. to continue eating the licorice sandwiches, until I'm baili (Scottish cockney, for "sick") Greetings, Solong, I have good news for you, lad. I have taken an extended crash course in Henriettamology to check your postulate...

Re: never-ending psychology

...Whatever way you choose, it's about being freely true to yourself.... The thing is, one has to know oneself, first, and only then can they be true to themselves! I have no problem doing that, but I do not believe that it is a universal condition. By way of coincidence I saw this quote in my morn...

Re: UnderCovid Police Officer

Re: I rarely write no more, me

HOW DARE YOU? Oops, caps lock stuck on and predictive text shuffled in. Sorry. What I meant to write was: How are you? Normally you are so precise in your use of the Scottish language. Surely if " baili " is in fact rhyming Scottish cockney slang for sick, it should be taken a step further and be so...

Re: I rarely write no more, me

and was it deliberate to misspell "mentos" a chewy mint so superior to trebor, but both hopelessly inferior to the black and white licorice, a bag of which arrive at my castle this morning and will form the main course for today, carpe diet . I thought that carpe was a fish, not licorice. No need t...

Re: never-ending gallery

Super goal Alan M ;-) Aw, shucks, thanks Bev. Just another day at work. Regarding your photos of George Best {blessed be his name}, you just need a photo manipulation program(me) that you got for free, bundled with the digital camera you bought >15 years ago. Interesting combination of favourite pl...

Re: never-ending gallery

After enjoying a successful career with Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur, and the England national team in the 1960s and 1970s, he became a manager working with several clubs. He is now employed as a television pundit. Have I been sprung? Or not? Remember this one? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3NLueHEhK...

Re: never-ending gallery

Now I've just given myself an idea ;-) Wouldn't it be great if we could get enough forum members together in a similar way to actually do a live installation as our collective tribute to Leonard. Maybe Geoffrey would like to be the art director (or me) :) And I know Alan M is more than excellent wi...

Re: hungry for Yom Kippur, Leonard

I much admire this humanity, particularly as I am not in the greatest "nick" at the moment. Yesterday I had hallucinations and my main complaint is that they were so dull. I deserve better than dancing box shapes and skinny hanging threads from a train station ceiling. None of these items existed e...
