Re: Leonard Has Passed Away
So sad. Leonard and I both attended the same Zen monastery and the same synagogue, both of us Jews from Montreal relocated to LA. I just read that he died of leukemia. I too have leukemia. Does anyone know the type? I work as the founder and volunteer medical director of the nonprofit CLL Society to...

Re: Leonard Has Passed Away
So sad. Leonard's music is always playing in the back of head. Greedily, I want more. Now I must accept that I will never hear him sing Suzanne again in a concert or seeing him sitting zazen or read another interview. I am so grateful for his live.

Re: CONCERT REPORT: San Diego, April 7
A triumph show. Drove down from OC. Well worth it. The intensity and the connection with the crowd reminded me of the unforgettable Janis Joplin concert I saw in Montreal. Another worker in song. The fourth time I have seen LC including his last tour, and this was by far the best concert. He sounded...

Just listened to the podcast. Wow. His voice is so strong and he can really deliver his songs. Shattering. Can't wait for the San Diego concert.

Re: sandiegoshow
I bought the the so called cheap seats at $89 each. Third row first balcony R center. That's not bad. $400 for 2 pretty good seats seemed too much, even for the grocer of despair. I live in OC, and figured the Copley will be a much better venue than LA's Nokia which is almost 3 x as big. The drive i...

Judy Blue Eyes sings Leonard Cohen
I just saw Judy Collins at the Coachhouse in San Juan Capistrano. Her soaring voice was better than on the albums from 4 decades ago. Her final encore was a song brought to her by a published Canadian poet in NYC. He said he couldn't sing or play and wasn't sure it was a song. She said he could do b...

Re: A Very Important Announcement # 2 Coming
I'll be there at 12:01. I suspect it will be about a tour extension. I have tickets for Coachella, but would love to see him again at the Wiltern or anywhere within a few hours drive. Heck, I was willing to fly to NYC from LA to see him with my daughter if she could have nabbed some tickets. They we...
