Re: is it ok to bring my 7 year old to a Cohen concert

If the cost of taking him to see Leonard Cohen is having to go see Jedward, then I believe the answer is clear!!!

Aloud.com advertising dates in Frederiksberg too. Although it's not, I believe, in Italy. ;-) http://www.aloud.com/tickets/leonard-cohen There seems to be a lot of dates there, and clicking on 'Buy' gives the message 'No tickets available'. But..... Maybe our Danish contingent can spread a little li...

BBC predicts...

I quote from the BBC website: 2012 promises the return of rock veterans Bruce Springsteen, U2, Leonard Cohen, The Beach Boys and Tom Petty Are they a couple of years out of date, or is there something to come? I would love to think it's more than his long-announced album. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/e...

I'll order it for my wife's Kindle. At least if she gets some stains on it, I'll know where to go for advice. Image

Poems and Songs - new book?

Just found this on my Amazon front page under recommendations. I hasn't been published yet, and there is precious little information on it. Does anyone know any more? Is it a new book, or a re-issue? http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/0307595838/ref=s9_newr_gw_ir02?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=cen...

I must admit, the bit in the second paragraph made me smile. The part about Leonard Cohen fans coming out... Will their family and friends understand. Image

Re: Songs From the Road - new live album - Sept 14, 2010

Watched the BBC i-player version. Did I see myself in the audience shot at the end of Suzanne at the MEN Arena? Not sure. Quality is excellent, so many shivers down my spine. Fantastic opening of Lover3. Only disappointment is that it's so short. Less than an hour. Would have loved to see a good ver...

Re: "The Remarkable Life of Leonard Cohen" (new book)

Hi AnthonyR Many thanks for posting here, and I'm now looking forward even more to reading your book. You do realise (of course you do) that writing about someone like LC is tantamount to inviting brickbats. I'm sure Peter Jackson had similar realisations when putting LOTR on film. He did it, so can...

Re: Leonard Cohen: Hallelujah: A New Biography by Tim Footman

I finished reading the book a few weeks ago. In fact, since then I've read Emma and One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, so my tastes are quite varied. However, back to Hallelujah. I did enjoy it, and as I've not read any previous biographies on our Leonard, there was a lot of new and interesting detail...

Got it in Waterstones Chester last week (30/10) - unbelievably it was one of their 3 for the price of 2 offers.
