Re: Hallelujah No 1 and No 2 in UK Charts

Maybe she could pen a new version: Well, I heard there was a facebook crowd Trying to get their point out loud, Saying, ‘You don’t really care for music, do ya?’ And they say I take the name in vain And sing for Mr. Cowell’s gain, And all because o' the tune called 'Hallelujah'. Hallelujah, Halleluj...

Re: Brighton, Nov 28

I can only echo what has been said. The performance was sublime. I have a couple of queries: The setlist shows the songs not played, but might've been, at the side. Is 'A Thousand Kisses Deep' there the song version? As the main list says 'POEM', I guess that it is. Has that not been played at all y...

Article on Anthem - Independent

Not sure if this piece has been brought up already, but I can't see it here. I'm not one to read the Independent, but I went for tea at the Grand with Lady shadowsonthewood the day after the Brighton show and the paper was sitting near the fireplace where we warmed our toes, our cockles having alrea...

Re: Hallelujah to be winner's song on UK X-Factor

It'll probably bring more people to Jeff Buckley, if anything. It was his version that was a download hit recently.

Good stuff. These people need a battering.

I then made a mistake by going to see Tosca tonight. A very good performance which would normally have moved me but alas, nothing, as although you shouldn't compare I was constantly thinking about Monday evening and the feeling of excitement and spine tingling moments which were now missing. "...

Re: London O2 Arena, November 13 - 14, 2008

So whilst obviously there will be people who like to participate vocally I would hazard a guess they are in the minority and piss more people off than they realise. Too right. My first Leonard show last night, and the experience was pretty much ruined by certain members of the audience. The music w...

Re: Find, sell or swap Fall Tour tickets here

Hi

I have two tickets for the O2 tonight. £166.25. I'll sell for £150.

They're in Block A3, Row U.

I'll still be going, so if anyone wants them, we can meet outside.

Thanks,

shadowsonthewood

Haven't been beofre, but from what I gather, the place ain't too big, so there should be a good view from wherever. Wstalls - not sure if that's the raised section to the side or just the more western part of the stalls. I didn't find their seating distribution very easy to figure out. There are mov...

Re: Master Poems

Just to say - My request has been fulfilled. What a nice forum. Not that anyone would need to care much about this, but that's what my comp looks like so far (disc one). Maybe I've just piled most of my favourites on straight away, but I'm rather pleased with it. Disc Two needs to cover Songs from A...

Master Poems

Hi, I've been looking for this online, but no luck. I'm making a Cohen comp for someone at work and want to include some poetry on it (I found 'Days of Kindness' on someone's blog and put that on CD 1, I'm hoping for more for CD 2). Is it downloadable anywhere? I saw there was a link in another thre...

Re: New Date - LONDON O2 - November 14th!

Hi bluetoo,

Heh, I'm 5ft 4 also, so that's good news. My girlfriend's a little shorter, but it seems we'll be fine. It's okay by me when people stand - I don't mind sacrificing some of a view when there's an excited and atmospheric crowd.

Cheers,
