It's interesting to click on "Others who chose this artist".

Here is the link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/features/de ... nard+cohen

Good to see that both the Pink Floyd members chose Leonard!

Re: ADAM COHEN: Updated schedule with ticket links

Is anyone here planning to go to Brighton on 14 November? If so, you can now book direct with the Komedia at http://komediabrighton.ticketsolve.com/shows/126518737/events. This will just cost you £32 for two tickets as opposed to £35.85 through AEG. I do object to an additional £2.25 fee for the pri...

Re: A short history of "Hallelujah" - lyrics, versions, oddities

Hi, I got a simple question concerning the line: "All I ever learned from love, is how to shoot at someone who outdrew you" What does "outdrew" mean here? I'm not a native speaker, I looked up the word, but I can't make sense of it. Does it mean something like "to pull out&...

Leonard Cohen in The Thick of it

Leonard got a mention in the first episode of this UK political satire! Malcolm Tucker: "I've got a To Do List as long as a f...ing Leonard Cohen song!" If you want to see on iPlayer, here's the link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00npkc9/The_Thick_of_It_Series_3_Episode_1/ It happ...

Why "G-d"?

I have never understood why Leonard Cohen replaces God with G-d in his written text.

Can someone kindly explain or interpret this or point me to a thread that discusses this point?

Many thanks and G-d bless you.

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Barcelona, September 21 (Leonard's birthday)

I noticed on this clip on YouTube that Leonard waves behind his back at about 46-47. I would like to think Marianne is backstage and that he is waving to her, we know she was at the concert!! I expect it was just something to do with sound levels. Does anyone have any idea what he is saying, is it ...

Liverpoolken, can you please give more details of Leonard singing at Florian's the day before the concert. So annoyed I missed this - my Florian's coffee was on the Monday. Did he get up next to the piano to sing? And how long for? The whole song? What a shame no one filmed it -it would have been gr...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Venice, August 3

Well, it was a week ago but I haven't come down to earth yet. My fifth (and last, sadly) but what a great finale for me. The setting was simply awesome and we had great fifth row seats. Leonard was in fantastic voice and I loved how he kept gesturing to the basilica when singing about angels. Absolu...
