Re: Your Leonard Cohen Autographs

This may bore you to tears but in 1979 (ish) came to see LC in Manchester and chased him back to his hotel to meet him by chance and breathlessly in the lobby (Portland Thistle I think) he gave me a backstage pass which he signed that got me access then to Preston and Edinburgh shows and a free beer...

Re: Please post setlists of the North America tour here!!!

my word I would have thought that MrC must be getting a little bored with churning out the same stuff week in week out, how very grasping this is starting to appear

Re: Which "lesser known" songs do you wish Leonard would play?

Thanks UrPal, think I understood most of that. I just got a little bored with the six 6 times I heard the same songs and rather hoped that the old dog might learn a new trick or recapture some that he once had that managed to please. Your list captured some of my favourites and if he choses to harve...

I'm with a lot of UrPal's choice and to manage the disappointment of it not happening I think I will sit this out.

Any idea if we are going to get a different setlist from last year? Good as it was he (and me) must be getting bored of it by now.

Re: Find and sell New York tickets here

This is so like Manchester England last spring, opening dates of the tour small venue, huge demand and at the eleventh hour tickets miraculously were released to be casually picked up by half interested fans who hadn't because of love of leonard bought the garbage initially offered by ticketmaster i...

Re: A Very Important Announcement # 2 Coming

Sorry, have I missed something, is the big announcement nailed on as US tour dates? If that is the case then Friday is less importnat to me than to others but if that is just naked aspiration from those of you in America then there is a different accent and action needed for me.

Re: Leonard Cohen Live in London

Anyone managed to tot up how many Best of, Must have and Live versions of are now sloshing about in the Zavvi's of this world. I hope that the big announcement is of something new. I wonder if the lack of footage from Glasto was to protect demand for this?.....just a thought!

Ah well, Ireland's loss is (Northern) England's gain. Better make sure that we give him a good send off.

Why did Manchester feel like it was chosen ....

... as the start and end last two tours? It is both flattering and convenient for those of us in The North West of England but a tad odd in global terms. Just wondered if there is a logic to it.

I think that we have had our fair share of a very precious commodity and should let others have their own moments of magic.. . . that having been said I'll be first in line if he is back in the autumn

Re: What I don't like about these shows

I saw him all four nights in Manchester and all four were my "Best" nights for differing reasons. They were all an amazing maelstrom of emotion brought on by someone with a truly amazing gift. Bela believe that you be at your "Best" night and don't believe anyone who tells you an...
