Re: Request For Help: Songs By Others Praised By Leonard Cohen

heard a rumour from the user telltale on the expectingrain forum, namely, and i quote: 'Brownsville Girl would redeem a priest! It's a masterpiece - and it's only behind George Jones and Joni Mitchell in Leonard Cohen's favourite songs as reported in 1988.' http://expectingrain.com/discussions/viewt...

Re: Cohen on the Grammys

It says I'm not allowed to view the Daily Show video in my country! How do I see it :?: By the way, this reminded me that I had a very nice dream recently that Garry Shandling of The Larry Sanders Show was going to be interviewed on The Daily Show.

Re: How to flag Valencia clip as inappropriate

I read about the video here this morning and then I did watch it. I feared for the worst - but I have to say – I was greatly relieved. I think our wonderful Leonard Cohen handled his collapse as well as he could – as he does with everything - with great dignity. The video also captures the immediat...

Re: "Leonard Cohen Live in London" > DVD & 2CD (April 2009)

I've always liked Christgau - the only critic who mentions Randy Newman enough. But I'm not sure what the point of Carolyn Kellogg's article is about - just saying they aren't too far apart in years? Can someone also explain (I'm kind of dimwitted today) what Christgau meant by: 'But it barely sold,...
