What a fantastic thread. I think we all read his stuff at different times in our lives so retain the impression it had on us at that time. For myself I dont feel his work has got better over time(but then I was younger). Have actually just posted about how two words of his can so move me! All his earlier poems "Call you grass" etc just sang themselves(to sleep).
