We have sufficient car spaces that we don't need a minibus, which will save a few bob. If those of you coming from Manchester Airport can wait a few more days before looking into trains, I am liasing with Ken and Dave re. them giving lifts to some or all of you, which they are keen to do - that is Joe and Ann Way, Henning and Christoph, Bernadine, and Mambo if she can make it. Sinnika is coming from Birmingham airport and already has the info re. trains. Judy and Liz I understand have already made arrangements to travel by train. Will write to everyone separately once we have it clear.

Too right, Henning, this is poetry for real for a change. When you've fallen on the footpath and you're lying in the rain, and they ask you how you're doing of course you'll say you can't complain. 2011 we cross the Atacama desert, or maybe even the Black Forest.

Hello? is it safe to enter?
Anyway, peace people,I just thought you'd like to see ,Bryn Terfel's Snowdonia,

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 ... Episode_2/

it shows everywhere you are visiting, the only thing is, he sings a lot! alright if you're a fan, however,he even
drags a piano up Snowdon so he can sing on the summit!

Diane,I know you're thinking of eating in Portmeirion, the latest reports I've heard is that castell Deudraeth is
better than the hotel itself.
Ken, if you're going on the Ffestiniog railway,Spooners pub in Porthmadog station, have good ales, according to
most people.Hope this has been helpful.

Kwills,

Thanks so much for the Bryn Terfel-he is one of my favorites ever since Kush sent me a cd with his Robert Louis Stevenson poem songs. I do draw the line at helping him cart his piano up to the summit, though.

Diane, regarding the trains as I mentioned in my email-I hope you, Ken etc. don't feel like you have to provide transportation to us-though it is much appreciated. I take it that we would be better off buying tickets in advance-we'll hold off for now, but if it becomes problematic, we are prepared to make our own way.

We anxiously await September! I need to start doing some climbs-I think I'll start by walking up and down Bascom Hill at lunch time. http://www.news.wisc.edu/8576 :)

Joe
Sorry for the delay..I think my brain is still on Schinoussa.
I will be driving you and Anne down from Liverpool to Barmouth....and Henning if you are reading this Dave Everatt will be driving you and Christoph down...and also either Dave or I will be picking you up at Manchester airport.

It looks like Dave and I will be forming a little convoy of two cars to drive us all down to Barmouth with perhaps lunch in Betsy-Cowed or Bala.

We will post up final details in the next day or two.

Joe...I owe you a few emails so I will be emailing you tomorrow.

And also, Bernadine, Dave is going to contact you directly re. hopefully taking you and Mambo down as well.

Joe, I owe you an email since long ago, I do eventually get around to these things:-) Also, Judy if you are reading - apologies for not being in touch - I will email you later tonight. Margaret has been keeping me up to date with your plans.

On the way to Llanberis we will be a nice little convoy of cars. It'll be something like the Cannonball Run.

Kwills, I am so looking forward to your Julie Andrews. I trust you will be wearing the outfit and all.
