I know I'm going to hate myself in the afternoon for even asking this, but what's the punchline?

Linda.

The punchline is a whisper in the ear ~ "Too controlling. Ditch him."

There was no punchline.

Lizzy:
"Too controlling. Ditch him."
<gives Lizzy a dismissive up and down look>

Well Linda?

If it be your will
That I speak no more
And my voice be still
As it was before
I will speak no more
I shall abide until
I am spoken for
If it be your will

If it be your will...

Vincent. I am just a little confused here. On Saturday night you said that you were finished with Linda. One other tiny observation Vince, what if it's Linda's 'will' that you 'speak no more' ------will you go?

Guess I'll have to. :(

"Ah but a man never got a woman back
Not by begging on his knees
Or I'd crawl to you baby
And I'd fall at your feet
And I'd howl at your beauty
Like a dog in heat
And I'd claw at your heart
And I'd tear at your sheet
I'd say please,
please"

am I your man Linda, or shall I go?

(psssst Tri-mi, pass me the ring...thanks!)

... ...well, he does have a point about the 'overbold'...a ring and a pair of earrings...could be nice... ... but I dunno...could be tricky too...hell, the ring's just collecting dust, anyway...

Tri-me,

I like you very much, however, this door swings in one direction only. Give Vincent the ring. OK? Thanks. It's a lovely ring. Not 2 but 6, count 'em, 6 diamonds. Made in Canada I hope?

Linda.

Hold the phone! I took a look (that's Inuit) and it seems there are 16 diamonds!! Tri-me, you are very kind (and very rich/naive) - thank you so much.

[Just trying to help ya' girlfriend, but I see you're swayed ~ ahem ~ a bit easily. Oh, well. Best to you both  ~ where's the coughing/choking emoticon?]
In greater respect to you both, my whisper phrasing is now, "Too controlling. Run for your life." But don't expect me to expect you to do a turnaround.

However, I can re-open doors pre-e-e-e-e-e-e-tty quickly. Do remember that.

Swayed. Nice word. Much better than 'curiosity is gonna kill this cat'. However, the world turns, the sun comes up, life moves on. (besides, I've got my Adidas on).

Tri-me,

I thought you were such a savvy one. US Dollars - Euros at the very least - you know HARD currency, but Canadian dollars are pretty. Thanks for the trouble you took to go shopping.

Maybe you could be romantic new age and choose new names that are synonyms instead of the bland Misses and Mister.
Characters in my film (hippie couple) are Essence and Virtuality.
Feel free to use these names, a person cannot own a name 8) consider it my gift to you :D
