Well, Dino is re-rehearsing his covers according to the Isle of Wight versions. Previously he was following, methinks, 1970-72 bootlegs style.
The reassuring thing is that all of you are coming, so we will now restyle it all as mini-event:)
On the day of the show (if it not happens), museums are closed (Monday) so we are thinking about going all together to Plitvice National Park maybe. Juraj is making some plans while we're waiting for another of famous announcements. ;-) Dino's show on Sunday evening, city seeing on Sunday/Saturday, dinner, lunch in the old town... We will see :)

The article also has the info from Lupapromotion PR person that "there's no way that show will be cancelled, it's almost sold out, the tickets are still on sale, and we will have the new date in 3 or 4 days. We will probably find the way to return the money to the people who coulnd't make it to the new date". The whole tour is now being scheduled as "September 15 - October 15, Zagreb to be added".

Rest of the article is about Grammy, Leonard's back, how he did 191 concerts and also announced new album, mentioning new song. Altogether, very affirmative and reassuring (PR) article as the whole day "we-knew-that-Cohen-will-not-come-oh-God" is is the main contents of all talks among typical self-depreciating Croats. We're now in state "let it happen, whenever it is".

From Leonard's manager:

I understand that the fans in Croatia may wonder why all the other dates from the March tour have been rescheduled and Zagreb is not mentioned. Rest assured, we have not forgotten our wonderful fans in Croatia. We are working on finding a date and we ask only for modest patience. Sometimes, I think that fans do not appreciate the challenges of booking a tour. We have to take into account availability of venues in all the cities as well as travel times between cities, and then add to that, the preferences of local promoters as to which days are best in their communities. That said, we will reschedule the Zagreb date with ample time for the fans to make arrangements.

Guys, I just got a mail from the Vstopnice.com ticket seller, telling me the rescheduled date for Zagreb is 25 July. July?? :o Is this confirmed? I was expecting a date in October, sometime around Moscow and Bratislava.

July??! No such info anywhere.

It's very bad date in Croatia (Mediterranean country) - everybody are on vacations and Zagreb will be empty city. The Zagreb promoter must be INSANE do accept that date! Most of the people will get mad and many tickets will be returned.

OBAVIJEST O ODGODI EUROPSKE TURNEJE LEONARDA COHENA

From Slovenian: Show is now rescheduled from March 15 to July 25, and then the info about refund if somebody doesn't like the new date.

Insane. I simply can't believe. To do anything in July and August here is simply crazy. Theatres, cinemas, institutions, companies, schools, everything's closed. Season finishes in June, and starts again in September. This is the most ridiculous date ever for this part of Europe. If it's true.

It seems very odd that the whole touring company should travel to Zagreb in July when other dates in Europe are not until 2 months later.

Tom, I will see you anyway in March, but any future date for travelling is still doubtful :?

Yep. Well, this is simply unbelievable date. Not for Leonard (we can presume they will add more shows in August, before Caen etc.), but for this country. It's all very unlike for me, but vstopnice.com shoudl be reliable ticket seller in Slovenia. We will see.

Eventim.si, the official seller in Slovenia, says the same info about "new date soon", only that, a sdoes Ticketpro.hr

Vstopnice.si is the same site which run two premature news about Cohen in Ljubljana (in 2009), obviously too early info is leaking to them, while still in process of negotiations.

I was really surprised when I saw this date and I know how unreliable Vstopnice.com has been in the past, that's why I came here to ask about it. It's really strange that they would be the first (and apparently the only ones) to know the new date. I think that a lot of people from Slovenia were planning to go to Zagreb for the show as well and a date in July is really bad for that (of course everyone will be in Croatia in July, but definitely not in Zagreb! ;-) ). Maybe the date is wrong, or there will be more European shows added in August, otherwise it just doesn't make sense :?

Strange indeed .. the arena website http://www.zagrebarena.hr/ simply states that the concert is postponed and that more information will be given in due time. Their programme is only until May 2010 which might be another reason why this date is taking longer to arrange as they may well be fixing some other things for the same time. I guess we will know soon enough ... did someone once mention patience??? :-)
