Cool story, thanx for sharing.
You´re welcome! Yes, he had his hat on all the time. When I went in for breakfast I saw him standing up in his costume and hat on, not that hard to see who it was! The shirt and costume he wore was the same as on the show later in the evening in Aalborg (I should think...) It kinda struck me too that he didn´t take his hat off when having breakfast around all these people and it also struck me that he didn´t have a security guard! (or maybe he was still sleeping...).

Highlights from the show was Different sides, I can´t forget amongst others.

Why they couldn´t let the people in faster is a good question. The same in Aalborg apparently. My parents was there too with another couple. They left after ANTHEM. They asked one of the guards if he could take on of the chairs so my moms friend could sit down cause she had a problem standing up due to illness. The answer was NO! Unbelievable!
Also, they could have played louder!

I was there around 4 pm at sound check and it sounded as he was singing 'working for the yankee dollar'. Anyone who can confirm this? The sound was not that loud and the distance to the stage was rather far.

@ Susanne & Uwe:

You never could pay in Euros in Denmark everywhere, it has nothing to do with the crisis. Only in very big shopping-malls this is possible and definitely not everywhere.
Sorry that you could not buy the ring, hopefully you get one in Berlin.

You could also try to order it from

Soundcheck begun at 14:30....
Yes, you have heard it right, "Working for the Yankee Dollar" is in the Song "Field Commander Cohen", when I am remember exactly.
So far, one of the best Versions I've ever have heard.
Actually, I'll never see and hear this one "live" myself, but he was rehearsing the Song for more then once in Kopenhagen (as well as "Night comes") ....
Leonard Cohen was singing this Song at the second half of the Soundcheck, when he was rehearsing with the whole Band.
First, he was on Stage all alone, just with his Guitar, for nearly 1:30.
Then, another hour with the UHTC (with the Band)...
And the best was, that we could watch the whole Soundcheck...
Obviously, they forget to cover the Door at the right Parkside; so we watched the whole SC directly in front of the Stage (or it was meant to be as it was).
See you all in Berlin and Verona!
