Interesting article. I had never thought of "the priest says goodbye" as Cohen leaving his influences behind. It always struck me as being more universal than that. That was always one of my favorites, which is why I'm commenting about that particular observation.
My guess is that whoever wrote that article hasn't been laid in a while.
