Meet-Up in Kingston

Since I found no Kingston meet-up topic, I've started one.

Can any locals suggest a hotel or B&B that is not too far from K-Rock Centre? Will be driving to Kingston the day before the concert and look forward to meeting some other fans that nite or next day before/after concert.

Hi 4, I'd recommend the Four Points Sheraton. It’s not to expensive, not to dated and the rooms are clean It’s a very quick walk to the k-rock centre and there's a great pub a couple of doors down.

If you like bed and breakfasts better there’s a very nice one called the Secret Garden. I haven't stayed there myself but I've heard good things about it.

I'm coming down the same day of the concert. My friend and I would be happy to meet up for a drink either before or after the concert

I'm staying at the Confederation Place Hotel the night of the concert. I stayed there the last time Leonard played in Kingston and found it to be good. It is on the waterfront, two blocks from the K-Rock Centre. I'm going to the concert with a few friends but would love to meet up with some fellow Cohenites.

Mary, thanks for reminding I ought to get around to booking a hotel room! I'm going to this concert with my 8-year old daughter, Zoya, her first ever live concert. Seeing the concert through her eyes will be an entirely new experience for me I think. We are both pretty excited.

Back about three years ago, after hearing Leonard on CBC radio, Zoya commented that LC "sounds a bit like an old frog. But beautiful too, like a prince." I can't wait for her to see our prince in person! She has certainly heard a great deal of his music over the years.

Looking forward to seeing you in Kingston and Ottawa. Will you be in Montreal too?

I'm exercising incredible restraint and only going to one of the Montreal shows. Three concerts seemed reasonable at the time. :)

I'm very close to planning a trip to Kingston. Found a really good last minute ticket and trying to check train schedule, dog-sitter, hotel etc.

On a high from last night and still have my front row seat for the Montreal show tonight!!!!

Hi Mona, I'd like to meet for coffee or something. I'm not sure when I'm coming in yet (I'll book soon) but I'm hoping to finish work early that day and also arrive in the afternoon.

I think that you're going to like the venue Kingston. It's smaller than most arenas and was built with idea that they would also host concerts.

We're coming up from Oswego, staying at the Radisson- only a few blocks from K-Rock. Saw Leonard there the last time he was in town- a holy experience.
