Great news: Dubliner Tina Robinson has offered to provide an historical tour of Dublin on Saturday morning, from 11:00 to 12:30. She will discuss a thousand years of Dublin's past, back to the days of the Viking settlement at the "ford of the hurdles." She will lead the tour to the church of St. Michan's -- which will require a short ride on the LUAS (Dublin's tram.) Tram fare: €2.50 approx.; entrance to St. Michan's: €4. She'll lead the walking tour back to Fishamble Street to the site of the first performance of George Handel's "Messiah."
