Dublin can be heaven with coffee at 11 in the Mansion House

Postby Paula McCann » Wed Jul 16, 2014 12:24 am

"Dublin can be heaven with coffee at 11 and a stroll in Stephen's Green,
No need to hurry, no need to worry, you're a king and your lady's a queen,
Grafton street's a wonderland with magic in the air,
There are diamonds in the lady's eyes and gold dust in her hair,
And if you don't believe me, come and meet me there,
In Dublin on a sunny, summer morning."

Friends,

The words of a famous Dublin song: I am thrilled to announce the Lord Mayor of Dublin Christy Burke will host a "coffee at 11" reception in the Mansion House at 11am on Friday, August 8th to welcome you to Dublin's fair city. The reception will take place in the Oak Room of the Mansion House -- capacity 100, duration 1 hour.

Please email me to let me know if you want to attend this reception as numbers are limited to 100: Paula@leonardcoheneventdublin.com.

All good things.

philip...

i know you are very knowledgeable on the subject of wine so i was wondering does your extensive knowledge stretch to sherry...i was thinking of taking the opportunity after coffee in the mansion house to slip over to toner's snug with one or two w b yeats' fans to raise the traditional glass of sherry in his honour...but sherry be it sweet dry wet or otherwise is a complete mystery to me...so we might need an expert on hand...ta ken

Well, I guess I ought to post here, too, that I sent an email as soon as I saw it.

Have just emailed as well. How do you do it, Paula, excellent fun. Please put me on the list for coffee with the mayor of Dublin. Is it required to wear a hat?!! Fedoras don't suit me, but I have a certain cap that a few of you may know..

Are there any updates I should know about that I've missed - have not been on the forum much recently. I looked through the posts, but am unsure which is the 'main thread' - there are several. Otherwise I guess I'll just turn up on Wednesday and see you guys on Thursday 7th. Can't wait..
