In Barcelona I laughed and cried and cried and laughed about it all again.
From the opening notes of Dance me to the End of Love we were submerged in the most wonderful music that we all know so well until at 12.45 we surfaced into a balmy Catalan night as though healed.

Leonard thanks for the trouble you took.

Thank you cohenadmirer, for all your videos. As a start I watched ANTHEM to see what happened when the audience thought the show was over. You captured the Anthem outro beautifully. And thank you for your comments in the video description

At 8.30 LC is heard saying, "We'll be back in a few minutes with the second part of the show." But the loud enthusiastic applause of the audience may have drowned him out. As you reported in your video description, good for Javier Mas for reading the vibes of the audience and deciding to make an announcement.

Thank you David (cohenadmirer).

Your videos were great. How lucky we are to have excellent youtube videos like this. :D

I think So Long Marianne in Barcelona is perhaps the best I have seen this tour. (I wonder who that was singing a little out of tune on this video?)

It was nice to see Javier had his own cheering section also. Wonderful!

Barcelona was a great concert, with wonderful people, what a great time!
I just wanted a few words for those of you who were wondering how Pablo got his 5 seconds of fame.

I first came accross him just before the concert in a shabby little toy shop. Pablo looked miserable, the only monkey, surrounded by teddy bears, lions and tigers... just like the ugly little duck. I had to help him escape, so I bribed his guard (the man behind the cash register) and gave him some freedom. He first enjoyed a little South African alcohol (thanks Lynette!) at the terrasse of a cafe

Then we told him we were going to see L Cohen... Pablo made a point in being on time and couldn't wait for the concert to start

then, after he told me he needed some exercise, I threw him onto stage during 1st we take Manhattan... and Leonard picked him up for a brief moment... to be seen on the wonderful videos posted on this thread (Meritxell's beautiful pictures are too big to be uploaded here)

You may wonder if a 5th monkey was necessary, after Fred, Buttler, Jacques... but when you see this smile on Leonard's face (and Mitch's, Alessandru and Javier's... well, if it was to be done again, I would do it exactly the same way)
Leo and Pablo 3.JPG
The last news I got from Pablo is that he's enjoying being part of the UHTC, even though he tries to snick into the ladies' dressing room....

Thanks, Leonard Cohen
I have 52 years old. I do not go to concerts. There is little money, to the Spain people have taken from us even the future. But when I knew you were coming to my city, I rushed quick to buy tickets.
Thanks, Leonard. For my wife and me were some wonderful hours. I pray that you'll come back to my city soon.

Thank you cohenadmirer. Your videos are all superb.
I liked the two shots you captured at the end of the final song, one of the the cheering audience - i recognized a few members - and the shot of the time on your wristwatch when the concert ended. Well done.
