Great night.
A few things:
Some changes in set list; Marianne in the first set, banjo in second. No going home. Sisters of mercy in first set. No last dance.
Higlights for me:
-beautiful bird on wire
-warm dedication to Marianne Ihlen before the song.
-night comes on and coming back to you from various positions.
-In I'm your man Leonard picked up flowers from the crowd and gave them to the ladies in the band, while singing.

Almost 4 hours,including brake. Start 08:00, ended 23:45
Great report, wish I was there and hope for similar in Dublin or Lisbon.
Delighted to see no "Last dance"..............hope he ditches it forever.
Would absolutely love to hear the dedication to Marianne!
Wonder why he didn't do Going Home, would have thought it's very popular.................maybe just my taste!
Can't wait for Dublin, and hope for something similar.

[quote="BlizzardofIce"]Looks like save the last dance is out. Not played the last two shows.

Great!! He's so far removed from that, I hope he's finally realised that himself! :D

I would also find it interesting to see the dedication before So Long Marianne, any chance any videos were taken by forum members?

I have to agree with Tipperary Ann on keeping 'Save The Last Dance..' It's a fun song and makes a good end to the Concert.
Hope it comes back soon.

Hope so, Cheshire gal - as soon as Dublin!
I liked the (original) Drifters long ago and at least it's a new song for LC.

So what if "wee Daniel" from Donegal has covered it too - he's such a polite gentle fellow that I have a sneaking suspicion Leonard Cohen would like him more than Annmarie does !

Looks like It was not captured, I'll try to remember.
He started with thanking the Norwegian people for everything they had done for him and his music.
He told about how he had got many friends during the years from Norway, That he had spent time with. Long late night conversations with something in the glass to drink, he Said. Amon those were his very dear friend for life, Marianne Ihlen.
Then he startet playing the song inn the first set, for the first time, I think, during the last years.

Marianne lives just a few miles from the venue.

This concert has the privilege to be one of the first taped from audience and uploaded to dimeadozen site, for the world to enjoy.
The original recording was done with a Zoom H4 stereo recorder in lossles PCM wave (16 bit 44.100 Hz).
