This is posted elsewhere I know but thought it deserved it's own space here as well. A very interesting interview with Adam's views about
his Dad's place in music/art. I do agree when he says that Leonard is still relevant--but I wanted to tell him that for some of us, he always was.
Just because he faded from 'the scene' for awhile I never felt his songs were outdated. Ever. In his latest album --the line They've fallen in love --they're talking in tongues--was a direct message to me- just as a drunk in a midnight choir was a message for me in 1970. In 1999, Ten new songs again spoke directly to my heart and to something I was experiencing at that time--and Dear Heather did the same a few years later. Anyway--I love Adam's music and the esteem in which he holds his father.
