Anyone in Melbourne?
Anyone in Melbourne?
I've been listening to Leonard Cohen for quite a few years now and his works are really fantastic. In particular I've enjoyed evaluating some of the meanings of his songs and possible esoteric interpretations.
It's somewhat bothered me though that I don't really know anyone that has an interest in his music. Being in my 20s, those around my age don't seem to have an interest.
Just wondering if there's anybody else out there in Melbourne who would have an interest discussing mutual interests perhaps over a coffee?

Hi Ausv,
I have only just read you post, as I've been absent from the Forum for awhile.
Anyway, I am a fan of many years, living in Melbourne... I would be most pleased to meet you for coffee. I have many Cohen items (such as books, DVD docos) that may be of interest to you.
I will PM you my contact details.
Cheers,
Andrew

I spent time with Leonard on Hydra in 1980 before his concert in Sydney - fond memories. Be happy to share them and talk about his music and poetry.

An advance welcome to Melbourne from me too.
It sounds like a small group of us could get together sometime soon.

Andrew

Re: Anyone in Melbourne?
Hi again, Melbourne based Cohen friends, Alan M (Adelaide) is visiting Melbourne with his wife Karin for a few days from September 21st and so we have decided we would like to meet up with whoever else is able to join us for an evening restaurant meal on that day they arrive here, it fortuitously being that special date when we can celebrate Leonard’s birthday anniversary together.
