A Street 2006

Postby JohnnySevenMoons » Sun Apr 30, 2017 9:16 am

Hi folks,
I'm hoping someone can help me - I have a dim memory that when Cohen re-emerged into the light of day, in Toronto in 2006, he recited 'A Street' as well as playing a couple of songs with Barenaked Ladies & Ron Sexsmith. I'm sure I've seen a clip of his recitation, but can't find it now - can anyone point me towards it? Or am I misremembering?

I have a recollection of this, too, but can't find Leonard's recitation you speak of. However, I think it was in 2006 at Indigo bookstore, Yorkville, Toronto. Here he is with Ron Sexsmith and Barenaked Ladies and Anjani.

Hope this helps,

Hi JohnnySevenMoons,

you are not misremembering, there was a clip of his recitation on Youtube, had it in my favorits. Sadly the uploader deleted it some years ago... I hope that one day it might reapear on Youtube. Several other clips from this event where reuploaded shortly after Leonards passing but that gem is still missing. I loved it.

All the best

- F.
