Greeting from Sharon

Post by jarkko »

As you may know, I have been dealing with the after effects of the
flu, and it's taking a little longer than I expected.
I am very moved by the kind words and concern expressed by the forum
members, and would like to thank them. It's definitely helping to speed my recovery!
I will be back on stage very soon.

Thanks Jarkko for posting this. I am sorry to hear that Sharon has been feeling poorly but am glad to
hear she is doing better. The concerts just aren't the same without her.

Jarkko, thanks so much for posting this message from Sharon...

Dear Sharon, although I haven't been at any of the concerts you've missed, just seeing the 2 mikes instead of 3, and the empty spot has been so strange. We miss you and "Boogie Street" and all your wonderful "collaborator" additions! Surrounding you with healing thoughts. Everyone has stepped up so wonderfully well, but no one sings that stanza from "Born in Chains" like you (er, sorry Leonard).

Rest, recuperate, and be restored to complete health!

All the best,
Diana

Sharon

I enjoyed Strasbourg

It was still a great show......

....but it was not a complete show.

As my wife Sharron said 'You sure notice the difference without Sharon R'

At every concert I always comment to whoever I go with 'I cannot believe that it took so long for her to put out her first solo cd'

There are so many often unacknowledged but supremely talented people behind the frontpeople and I think you and the accolades you so deservedly receive represent them admirably.

Hope to see you in Lille when I am taking a group of our staff but more importantly get well in your own time.

How cheeky Diana! But how true! I thought it was fitting that Leonard sang the words himself, just minding them until Sharon gets better.

Just back from a fabulous Marseille concert. It was wonderful to sing happy birthday to Leonard once again! The setlist was wonderful and the band was very playful.

But there was no Sharon :(

We miss you Sharon and we hope you get well soon. You bring so much to the band and to Leonard's songs. Look forward to seeing you again in Vegas.

Hey Trish...looking forward to more comments from you! Hope my empty seat was filled with a deserving forum member. Thought about you and everyone all day. Thank heavens for Joey's blog...and an email from a friend!

Sharon should be back on track in another few days. I remember how sick I was with the flu in July for 3 weeks...thought I might miss Ireland. And I'm not even a singer! hah...don't think anyone would want to hear me sing anyhow!!

Flu happens, problems happen, friends and family happen, love happens, sorrow happens...and we go on.

How I wish I had been there!!! Loved the flowers and the Happy Birthday!! How moving!

Relive, and take to heart each and every moment!

Even those of us not lucky enough to be at this set of concerts are missing you, Sharon. We hope you're well soon.
Take care, and thanks,
