Jarkko,
could that song "My Oh My" possibly be on the new album or will it just stay as a sound check? And is there a recording from that sound check available to listen to now? If not, is it possible to describe the 'flavour' of it?
Thanks,
Bev

Bev, Leonard has a lot of new songs in progress. He is working with the band on some of them at sound checks. He has not decided which songs will be on the new album and how he will do the final versions - everything is still under construction. We know, however, that "Born in Chains" will be quite different on the album (he will sing all of it or most of it himself; on stage we hear the ladies sing many parts of it).
We arrived from Krakow only less than one hour before the concert and missed the sound check. So I haven't hear "My Oh My", and the only thing I know is the working title!

Oh dear, say it ain't so Jarkko! Those three voices add an ethereal quality to the spiritual tone of the song. The rendition I heard in Sligo was perfection itself. As much as I want to hear LC all the time, I do hope he rethinks his decision to sing most of it himself.

Warmest regards,
Mary

It's funny isn't it, I was thinking the opposite Mary!! I love the way the ladies sing it but I did think I'd love to hear what 'spin' he'd put on it if he sang it himself. :D Either way, it's a great song.

Hi Afric,

Gee - this song at this stage is over 7minutes long. Maybe we can let them take a tiny bit of that time. But I agree, would be interesting to hear it as all LC. Reminds me of the thread with 'If It Be Your Will' - Webbs or LC :?

You know, I have a funny feeling it doesn't matter too much what we think. Charming as he invariable is, I am pretty convinced that in the end, LC does just what LC wants!

Terrific video Anne (as were your Oslo videos) - and very sweet remarks here from Leonard about Jarkko. :D
Nice that you captured this.

Looking forward to anything else you might find. 8)

Thanks!

Anne,

So glad you captured this moment and had the presence of mind to scan the audience to include Jarkko also - thank you! Jarkko sat there so serenely, you would think LC was speaking of some other person. I don't know if I could have kept that kind of composure and calm demeanor. Goes to show you what a lovely gentleman Jarkko is.

Best regards,
Mary

Thank you Jarkko for that info, much appreciated :D

.....and I've just watch the video 'I Tried To Leave You' with Leonard's wonderful acknowledgment of you - so deserved - Leonard or none of us would be here if not for you :D 8)
