The 2010 Tour band
The 2010 Tour band
Last night I asked Roscoe Beck about the band for the 2010 tour and he confirmed that there are no changes in the band between the 2008-2009 tour and the 2010 tour. Dino Soldo said the same, and added that they are all having a great time touring and that "Luckily, Leonard loves to tour". I asked if the break between the tours might be used to record a new Leonard Cohen CD and Dino said that while there are no solid plans for a new CD they are constantly working on new materials while touring and there is a good chance that a new CD will come out at some point.

Yeah!! Thanks for the info brightnow.
Now -see - this is a perfect example of where I would select two of the "thumbs up" smilies if we had them.

Nothing against the current lineup, but I would really like it if the 2010 "angels" could be Julie and Perla...I really miss them singing with Leonard!!!!

WoW, Avi! You GO GUY !!! Get right in there and ask the questions we want to know! And, yes, I'll bet they ARE having a great time touring! How could they not, right !?!
And... ohhhhh, yessssss, cohenfreek, I would LOVE to have Julie and Perla onstage with Leonard, again. I would be lying to say I wouldn't. So, I won't do that.

Re: The 2010 Tour band
Thanks brightnow for getting the scoop for all of us! So glad it will be the same band and singers, and that everyone still loves to tour! We certainly know Leonard does!! As much as I would love to see Julie and Perla with Leonard again, both are busy with their own lives and concerts. Also I think that something "connects" between Leonard and Hattie and Charley. I'm noticing it moreso as the tour continues.
Looking forward to seeing everyone in a few venues next year!

You know I still want the Webb sisters, Julie and Perla worked in the past - now his current band blends perfectly with him in the present

Re: The 2010 Tour band
Dino Soldo does an amazing job with all his wind instruments and we love him but I agree about the violin I also miss it. We were only talking about it yesterday while listening to a live recording of Leonard with Julie and Perla who we also miss. The web sisters though do a fine job and I hope they continue to do so. Well done to them. Well done to all the band!
