Hi This is in response to Lizzy...I did call the Fairmont and she said they had a big bar that closes at 130 on Fridays.
She said if there is no one there they will close early. If we let them know even that day that there are people coming at 12 they will stay open. Lots of room.
I also like there are other places in the neighborhood.

But as I don't even drink much or like to stay up too late anymore I am fine with anything.
Though the Fairmont seems to be my vote...or area.

and possibly 2 more, (our friends David + Aileen* from Miami who are meeting us for the show)
*We both have early flights out the next day, and they are not as rabid as I am, so they might opt for bed after the show...

I'll be in SJ! With the same group as attended the Montreal show. So I'll see ya there. Since I saw you in NY, the only other concerts I've been to were Vancouver and Victoria/on Vancouver Island. So I HAD to try for SJ ...

Mutti ~ Your phone call explains everything. I like both places, by the looks of things... though, the de Anza looks a bit smaller... I guess it depends on the count, as well as everyone's preferences.

So far we have 18 confirmed for the early dinner and 21 for the get together after the concert. I'm sure we will get more people signing up over the next week especially now that we won't have to deal with any emotional wreckage (2010 here we come!!!).

What is the general consensus about the early dinner? Does the pizza buffet at the De Anza seem like a good plan? If so, what time should be meet? It's right next to the stadium so it won't be far to go to pick up the tickets. How about 5:00 p.m.? Is that too late/too early? I can make the arrangements if everyone is in agreement with the location.

Does the Fairmont seem like a good place for after the concert? It sounds like we can notify the hotel once we arrive if we want them to keep the bar open. I think it would be good to have a plan in place before we get there as people tend to get split up after the concert.

Let me know your thoughts!

Pizza at DeAnza and drinks at Fairmount sound great to me. Seems like 5 is a little late though, since we can supposedly pick up tix at 6 at HP and maybe get inside then.

I will be arriving very early in SJ and don't mind being at the DeAnza alone, or with a few other early birds, until the majority arrive.
