Flowers for Hitler.

I want to remind everyone that death cannot pull the curtains down on Cohen.
He is just too important to be forgotten and thats why he wrote all those poems for us and then gave it a voice like no other.

Would anyone have a PDF copy of his poems - Flowers for Hitler?

Shine on poet.

One by one the guests arrive
The guests are coming through
The open-hearted many
The broken-hearted few

And those who dance begin to dance
And those who weep begin
Welcome, welcome, cries a voice
Let all my guests come in

Incredibly sad - but grateful.
Leonards words and voice will always be with me.

This really comes as a surprise, as the listening party he did in LA seemed to quell the notion that he was in poor health.

I am truly, truly saddened. I remember the moment I first heard him. I was in a film class, Oliver Stone was the topic. Natural Born Killers was reviewed, and I remember the movie opening with this voice that sounded like it was literally crawling up from the bowels of the Earth, it was so deep and rich.

His music was a large part of my wedding, and his show at Madison Square Garden was the focus of our honeymoon in NYC.

I think to have known him personally, would have been humbled and taught a better way. I only know his music, and for that I am eternally grateful. May he rest in peace, and may his family share in the joy and love he brought so many.

.
Terrible loss, a piece of my life just vanished.
His music remained a constant in my life, when I moved from Poland to California 30 years ago, among a few possessions I brought with me was a box of cassette tapes with his music.
I'm so glad I was able to hear him in concert so many times, I'm also glad we lived in times of Internet so that he could feel how much he mattered to so many people of different languages and cultures.

RIP Leonard, I will always remember your kind greeting send to me from the stage at the Charlottetown concert.
My sincere condolences to his family.

Like a bird on the wire,
like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free.

The first thing I get to know this morning...it makes me so sad... What an artist, what a human being, what an inspiration you were. I have been lucky to have seen you twice on your last tour and will cherish the memory for the rest of my life.

Mr. Cohen, you are now with Roshi, Marianne and others you loved. Wherever you are, rest in peace. Thank you for the way you spent your time here with us.

"The best of the worst", but he would have none of that. I will miss him terribly also. All condolences to his family.

My best friend since I was 15 years old, and realized that life was unbearable, sometimes my only friend, but always there to speak to me through his poetry and songs.

Good luck on your journey. I thanks you for spending so many years with me on this planet.

We should all consider us lucky, for living at the same time in human history that he walked the earth.

It has come to and end now, but he prepared us for it, through his wonderful last record.
There are many ways a man can serve his time
