Oh, I would say he's certainly worth a net or two.

Blimey with that much money perhaps he might pay for some nice cushions to go on the stone bench the members have kindly paid for.
I guess it all started for me sometime around Christmas 1967 and now, goodness me, it's.........2018 and over fifty years later.
No one ever listens to me. I might as well be a Leonard Cohen record.

Leonard did not Sk for the bench in the first place. Thank God he was healthy enough in his age to go on this extended tour. He deserves every penny of that money and more. I am happy for him.

I think we all know he is worth much more!

All?

It was a joke but of course as ever on this forum, anything even remotely thought to be offensive against Leonard Cohen will see people jump to his defence. If you really claim to know what LC would think about it, then surely you would also know that he mocks himself even more than others might....

Wasn’t jumping to his defence; never found the need. Was just saying what I feel (not just about Leonard). Shouldn’t have used the word ‘All’ forgot how literally things are taken round here!

But frankly ‘I don’t give a damn’!…

Well you certainly found the need on this occasion. As for "forgot how literally things are taken round here" I feel sure you will see the irony in that..

Oh dear, a last line of "But frankly ‘I don’t give a damn’!…"

Starting to remind me of a two Ronnies sketch where lines in a song are used to communicate. You'll forgive me if I find that a little weird.

Thanks anny, you have restored my faith as to whether some members of the Forum do have a life away from Leonard and indeed, see the funny side of life, much like the man himself

Well said, Vicomte - LC was never overly precious about himself !

Whatever amount he has earned since 2008, I would prefer to see him have it than all those gormless footballers who
accumulate a lot more by thumping a ball around a field.

Don't think LC ever planned to pass it on to those gormless footballers ;-) Be fair though, I wouldn't mind being gormless and still pick up a nice salary for thumping a ball around.

And if I were to run into mr. 20 million, I would still offer to buy him a drink; even if it were to be a soft drink or cup of joe.
