Yesterday I had the pleasure to atend to the presentation of a new book in Barcelona.
It's a beautiful grafic work around Leonard Cohen songs.
Shaped with a vynil shape, there's 24 drawings about 24 LC songs (two from each album) from very known 8 Spanish illustrators (some awarded with National prizes).
Besides each one there's an Alberto Manzano text around the song, inspiration and anecdotes from LC at the time of writing it.
You know about Alberto's knowledge of Leonard Cohen and his work.
Leonard Cohen himself was pleased with the project and gentle gave one of his selfportraits to be used as cover.
It was interesting listening some of the artists, and their aproach to LC songs, some of them didn't even know his work before, but have become avid readers and listeners now!
I know being writen in Spanish makes it difficult, but I've foud it beautiful and well done. I think it is available online on usual places.

Thanks Bea for the information. The translation of the title, maybe, "Most Illustrious Mr. Cohen". The protagonist of the book is the illustration: Cohen and illustration together. It is the spirit of 24 songs: Bird on the wire, A 1000 kisses deep, Born in Chains, A singer must die, First we take Manhattan, The Future, The Guests, The Traitor, Anthem, Sisters of Mercy, Dance me to the end of love, Tower of song, Diamonds in the Mine, Field Commander Cohen, On That Day, By the Rivers Dark, Hallelujah, Undertow, Famous Blue Raincoat, Death of a Ladies' Man, Memories, Suzanne, Story of Issac, and Darkness.

These are just wonderful. I love this kind of art and it certainly puts a new spin on Cohen I've never myself seen in his songs before. Bravo!
