Special Grammys Jan 30, 2010: Outside Report

I showed up this afternoon at the Wilshire Ebell Theater wearing my fedora and Maarten's lovely lanyard and badge.
Are you Press? No, but I am with the Leonard Cohen Forum and I am here to make a report. Must have sounded and looked sufficiently official because security let me park in the VIP parking lot. Thank you, Maarten.

After that, battling security was not as successful. In fact there seemed to be more security men than the dozen or so lurkers.

Robert Kory arrived first wearing his trademark fedora - easy to spot. He registered at the offical desk and then was on his cellphone for quite a while.

I did see LC arrive in a large black Lincoln van (no one arrived in Limos) but there was no female with him. In a few minutes, Sharon Robinson arrived with a man, walking up the side street and joined Robert Kory. Sharon was wearing a beautiful dress and she looked stunning! Then Kory waited for Elliott Lefko, AEG North America Promotion and they all went inside.

I tried to take video from across the street but I think I was too far away. If anything looks decent, I will post it later.

EDIT: There was a lady with LC in the van. Long black hair. I can't tell yet who it was. Still studying my video. Where is the hi tech CSI enhancer when I need one.

I think we were all SO thankful to watch Leonard receive his award, but even this is tempered by an announcement re the tour that will be following in a few hours.

You look fabulous and so very official...you must have confused them totally!

I watched the streamed presentation here in the UK and by coincidence Arlene I was just about to drop you an email as I was updating my data base with details from all the cards and contacts etc that I had collected in recent months as my PA is about to depart and I am off to Thailand for three weeks prior to a couple of the French concerts I am trying to get up to date whilst I still have support.

If you check your personal email you will see there is a package en route to you.

And who was it in San Jose who was adament that Leonard and Anjani were no longer a couple?
