Hello again. My "red shoes case" is just an image to say "a compulsion" But maybe it is an easy and free (cheap) way to have publicity.

I took it the way you meant it, Tchocolatl [after I understood the reference itself  ] and it seems to me that you're right in that. We'll see if this is her last time  . It seems in terms of publicity, that she relies on herself to create her own, and makes it a point to do just that.

Maybe she will be able to get rid of thes shoes. Maybe she should go in a Ella Fitzgerald disguise next year and sing "Romance, finis. your chance, finis. Those ants that invaded my pants, finis. Bewitched, bothered and bewildered - no more". I said Ella.

 ~ Great idea, Tchocolatl. If it didn't require feeding the troll, I'd suggest you post it on her mini-site  .

Her mini-site is a diary on line. Look.

http://www.blog-city.com/

I can't see why you could't do your own kind of back to the past from here in the present time, diary on line with your own life with Leonard Cohen. From the first time you heard him sing (or read one of his book) and all through the hippie epic epoch that you witnessed the rise and fall, your travels, your Jacques Brel concert, your emotional journeys, big socials events that affected you, etc, etc, with always in back ground, Leonard Cohen's song, this one or another, all this time.

Diaries could do the best of History teacher along with a warm or interesting lecture of another human being life.

 Yes, and that's probably nearly the full extent of her life with him, as well......as he p-l-a-a-a-a-y-e-d on in the background, with more than a tad of electricity to keep him going  . I must say "blog" makes a fitting anamateopeia [or however it's spelled] for her mini-site. If these so-called diaries include the previous and presumably-now-deleted material, I'm not really interested. As a matter of fact, when it comes to people with her ill-intent, I'm not interested in reading any of it at all. I made the exception with Lightning's alerting us that the other had been removed. I truly got all the sampling of her that I needed. Can I just take your word for it as to how it is/was  ?

Oh ~ the thought   ! I'm afraid people would be expecting there to have been more contact other than an autograph and posing for a photo together [poor guy ~ how does one do that, time after time, and even attempt to look less-than bored?]. It's an innovative thought, though, Tchocolatl. Have you considered a diary? I'm sure you have your own share of experiences. Perhaps we could collaborate  . Or, you could join jeannieb and I in our stalking escapades. We could really do some serious collaboration with fiction 8) [not to be outdone by her, of course  ].

You're definitely right that diaries make history w-a-a-a-a-y more interesting ~ period!!!

I was serious, but this is what happen to people who jokes most of the time... :( Eh! Everybody has to paint the town in red once in a while, it does not mean they only doing this :D

For the red shoes it may be distracting to watch. But. For the dancer. Not so easy to kick the habit of course especially when one has the damned shoes on and is jerking all over the place. No good.

After a period there is another sentence. Especially with you. Stop watching videos of Charlie's Angels and begin to consider your portion of eternity important enough to be read I am tempted to say. Damned, I said it. But it is a lot of work a lot of pain a lot of... And it is scary. I mean I would be scare to do it. But it is not mine, it is yours.

Tchocolatl - I am not quite sure what you are saying in the final paragraph of your post are you saying it takes a lot of inner courage to expose your innermost thoughts for people to mull over and judge you on?

Hello Paula - Yes, exactly. To others but to ourselves as well. Bye!Bye! :P

Oh, Tchocolatl ~ funny, funny image ~ of her with the shoes in control  ! Isn't that sorta how the story and production of it went, as well? It's a clanging bell now, if it is  .

Writing something like you suggest.....ey yi yi....how daunting  . With regard to history, with Leonard playing in the background [or foreground, as the case often was], I'm afraid I'd have to battle it out with the drugged, brain cells to recall just how history went during those times  . 'Tis much easier just to remember Leonard, and his impact :D .

I'm not even sure how to comment on the rest of what you said.....except to say yes, scarey indeed.....and, of course, thank you, Tchocolatl.

I still think there's much promise in a Tchocolatl/JeannieB/Elizabeth collaborative effort with Leonard-styled fiction. We can invite Ms. Ann to our book signing  .

I would politely say, screw Ms. Ann.

Jeannieb, angel, :D I'm afraid it would not be enough if the idea crossed her mind that He may be there for some reason.

Lizzy,

"I'm afraid I'd have to battle it out with the drugged, brain cells to recall just how history went during those times 'Tis much easier just to remember Leonard, and his impact"

I guess the less you would try to be a history teacher, the better the diary would do it. To be a witness of you epoch and to tell about it like you experienced it is History.

Even when you think that you do not know an event (let say, the exact date of the death of a Diva  ) it is exposed much more vividly than boring flat cold dry alingment of names and dates.

Have a nice Thanksgiving weed-end. :)

I prefer autobiography to fiction and I'm truly fascinated by the hipppie period.

And I think Leonard Cohen is a phenomena like no other (he was right, his songs were built to last 30 years. I add : Plus 30 years, multiplied by 30 years. And so on and so on. I'm amazed) born from this specific period.

Paula, I read below that you want to do a web site. Great!! Hope you will give the URL soon.

That I can do! It sounds like you're not from the U.S., as here it's Thanksgiving, with no school of any kind ...
Happy Thanksgiving, lizzytysh. No, I work in a hospital, so we're open 24/7. I just forget what the rest of the world is like, sometimes.
I've never heard of Spongebob Squarepants. Must be rather hot, though, if you were tempted to do Halloween as him.
Yes, Spongebob is hot. He and the Fairly OddParents (another Nickelodeon children's television show) have replaced Blue's Clues and Bob the Builder on my little guys' cultural radar.

"Deep down in the Pacific Ocean in the subterranean city of Bikini Bottom lives a square yellow sea sponge named SpongeBob SquarePants. SpongeBob lives in a pineapple with his pet snail, Gary, loves his job as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab, and has a knack for getting into all kinds of trouble without really trying. "
