Whoever produced the video did an excellent job of matching visuals of the icons referenced in the
Tom T. Hall song. Sadly, the knowledge of who those icons were and what they represented is
being lost in modern day culture. No need to even speak of the choices that the cultural drivers are putting
forth as replacements. Tom T. Hall was a master story teller during times when people placed greater value
on stories because, among other things, the capacity to listen wasn't as impaired as it is today. Were
but the times to change. Tom T. Hall is one of my favorite songwriters. I've heard many of his
recordings and have read (twice) a book that he wrote on songwriting.
