Rolling Stones at Glastonbury

Post by jim devlin »

If anyone manages to come up with a DVD from the TV footage, I'd welcome being informed please?!
Thankyou,
Jim

Hi Jim,

Presumably you've watched them on i-Player (from approximate 14 minutes to 1hr 18 minutes)?

I must say they put on a good show, and you have to hand it to Jagger for energy considering he's 70. Though it's a pity that the old capitalist git is putting limitations on how much people can watch for free! I wouldn't pay the money they're asking for tickets these days...I'll live with my memories of Hyde Park 1969 and Wembley Stadium 1973.

Cheers, John E

Nor would I to be honest but we have been lucky enough to have been given two tickets from friends for the 13th July at Hyde Park, not sure about standing up all day though. It will be nearly 50 years since I first saw the Stones at the Crawdaddy club in Richmond, sadly no Brian nor Bill this time.....
I guess it all started for me sometime around Christmas 1967 and now, goodness me, it's.........2018 and over fifty years later.
No one ever listens to me. I might as well be a Leonard Cohen record.
