Leonard On The Beach

Postby scocoh » Thu Jul 09, 2009 6:10 am

Hi friends,

Sifa and I (Scott) just started a website called Leonard On The Beach:

http://www.LeonardOnTheBeach.com

We want to have as many "Leonard friends" as possible come to our celebrations of Leonard Cohen here on beautiful Oahu, Hawaii.

Locals and people who travel a lot--keep in touch and we'll get together.

Long-term planners---Let us know when you are coming to the islands and we will plan.

We will have a few LOTB events this summer and fall, but for those who plan ahead--WE ARE PLANNING AN LOTB FOR FEBRUARY 2010.

Please keep an eye on our web site. Not much there yet, but we will keep it updated.

How interesting! Will I finally be able to combine my love of SCUBA diving and Leonard Cohen in one trip?!

Hi Sifa and Scott,

Your plans sound very interesting indeed! Especially escaping Michigan in February for Oahu :D I'll keep an eye on your website. Would be nice to listen to Leonard's music while watching a Hawaiian sunset over the ocean!

All the best,
Diana

Hi Scott & Sifa!

Wow... congratulations... LOTB & your site are fabulous!

Ok, so now you've revved up my imagination and I'm seeing a screening of Lennie's London show dvd on the beach starting around sunset and easing into the tropical night. I don't know how technically possible/impossible it would be to do this (brainstorming before reality) ... the gauntlet has been thrown ;-) :? :o

Keep us up to date on what happens as each LOTB happens, ok?

See you in February... Kadi

Oh but you have to come! You see, on the last day at sunset, I'll be sitting on the beach with a glass of wine and you will be there playing "The Window" for me :D

Hi Sifa and Scott,

You (and we) will have to keep this idea alive on the Forum! Still sounds like a great idea to me. So much going on now with the Summer European Tour and now the announcement of the Fall US Tour which is much shorter...actually, thank goodness, Leonard, Sharon, the Webb sisters and all the band will finally be able to have some family time over the holidays, and work on their own artistic careers! Who knows...a short holiday in Hawaii mid-winter might be just the thing for Leonard...and Anjani...and whoever else he wishes to bring with him! Just enough talent to make up a little combo?!

All the best,
Diana
