Go by Hydra

Hello my friends, here is a little poem I wrote inspired in Go By Brooks.
I had it on my mind since I visited Hydra last month, the special Hydra event that some of you know to well.
I hope you like it, it's my little offering to celebrate the spirit and the music of Leonard. L'Chaim!

Go by Hydra
where the cats stare
go by Hydra
where the night is solitaire

Go by oceans
where dolphins swim
Oceans, love
where I can listen to violins

Go by Hydra
where I stand
waiting to read
your palm

And you never said Hello to me either.
whom to blame? too many guests perhaps.
We shared the same row on the dolphin boat on our way to Hydra.

why did the gentleman refrain from speaking to the lady on that boat? had i been there i would have booted his antisocial backside. what ails people today; what in heaven's name can cause such a departure from normal civil behaviour! not even adam with all his neuroses would have acted like such a reclusive juvenile. unless i have seriously erred in my psychological assessment of his current state of mind, it is my belief he would have temporarily halted his list-compiling mania and engaged in delightful smalltalk with a fellow passenger.

Geoffrey dear, that boat was too crowded, luggage all over, flat screens, all sort of electric appliances, garden chairs and even a smoker cracking my nerves, no one to blame for the untold hellos or goodbyes. :)

Thank you Mary for setting the record straight.

Geoffrey, typically of a man always in a hurry, overlooked my crippling shyness. I could barely dare to look at you let alone speak. For reasons of professional jealously, Geoffrey also ignores the fact that I was busy painting on that voyage.

I completed 7 Leonard portraits on the journey there and 8 Muhammed Ali ones on the way back. I then spread out that total of 23 Works of Art and sold all of them immediately to a collector with a huge wallet and a tiny brain.

I was also chasing a horrid little underwear thief onboard who kept running around screaming "ha det bra".

And I, for one, am very glad you have repeated part of your post from earlier today

yes, he feel asleep in the arms of his poor lebanese mother, last time I looked at him he was begging for greek yogurt, amazing how a little human being can be such a dictator, " mer, mer" he kept screaming.

that explains a lot. I thought i heard him shouting "more, more", in a sophisticated English way despite him being a thieving little toad, now I understand he was shouting either "mor, mor". In a Danish sort of way he was calling for his mum (who as we all know is only half Lebanese but 50% Scandinavian on her right hand side), or even "mormor", thus calling for his maternal grandmother. You also raise the mildly intriguing possibility that he was saying "mer, mer" meaning "Sea what you have done now". This is French, a language he picked up from his 3rd cousin's son's teacher's wife, and also he leant it on a day out to the Gallic quarter of Nude York, where lingerie thieves regularly leave the population unclothed.

You know that the road to Damascus has been invaded by all sort of intruders and some vile tempers,Solongleonard, impossible to claim 50% of a flying flag.
This little dictator, whose mormor was indeed half danish and half norwegian - she claimed both nationalities for health problems, either the white sands of Skagen or the seaweeds of Hvaler- early learned that Dickens was indeed a master, a visionaire, so why not ask for a bit more? It doesn't matter if we are dans la mer, or no mar salgado, quoting another poet of sailing waters, he just wanted MORE greek yogurt!!
I got a bit confuse with his interest for the underpants, must be quite honest, it does intrigues me. Oh the little devil, he might want to dance la pizzica salentina, make a sheet of them or pretend he is a dervish dancer. He definitely caught us in a whirlwind in that dolphin boat!

That sounds like a whole other trip. My one was the usual combination of vodka and Pole dancing. The final score was 3-2 with Geoffrey scoring the winner in extra time.

As to your Subject heading, I don't believe I can affford it. But if I was desperate I may pay attention to the old saying "Any Porto in a stormo".

you both seem to be getting along like a mouse on fire. i'm starting to believe maybe it's just as well the 'gentleman' didn't possess enough courtesy to initiate a conversation on that boat. for it seems to me, judging from this intense and reciprocal cyber interaction, that physical proximity between the two of you could easily have developed into shagging.

Mary, you may not speak fluent Norwegian ? It is not the very easiest language and it took even me more than 2 days to master it. The Norwegian word "shag" roughly translates into the English word "shag". A shag is a rug or carpet that has a deep pile, giving it a shaggy appearance. The name derives from Old English sceacga, related to Old Norse skegg, beard. Geoffrey is an example of a "Wee Norse Shaggy". In fact he grew his first full beard before the age of 7.

Although, Geoffrey paints a sweet, innocent picture of us discussing deep pile carpets, personally I would have preferred to have had sexual intercourse with you! Now there's something that would not have crossed my friend Geoffrey's simple mind so let's hope I have not corrupted him.
