into the deep..............
where your soul does soar and your body does sleep
into the deep
where your mind cannot find and your emotions do weep
into the deep
where there's nature's power and the the beauty of the flower
into the deep
where world's collide and the crash of the raging tide
into the deep
where the cell has split and started to forget
how dark the deep can get
into the deep..................

No wonder I could relate! I was in one, between Florida and the Bahamas. The Loran went out. We were lost. Almost lost the dinghy. If it weren't for his German housekeeper, who had lived on a boat with her husband most of her life, we'd have been deep-sunk, I'm certain. I stayed up top long enough for the screaming of how he MUST go about negotiating those huge waves. She was spread-eagled atop the boat, lightning, rain, and thunder all-round, holding onto the tall, metal bar with one hand, and the dinghy with the other. It had broken loose and was being held by rope on one side only, and was about to let go altogether. She didn't speak to the captain for 3 days after our arrival in Nassau. I won't go into all the reasons that justified that. One was that there were 4 total aboard ~ him, her, me, and a friend I'd invited. The housekeeper had to invite herself. She was the only one truly seaworthy. Definitely had thoughts of the deep while we were rockin' 'n' rollin' below.

Put you in awe and perspective of the power and force of nature..............................

Heavy Sausage were one of my favourite Bands until I turned vegetarian. Now although I loved the Classical duet, who were famously introduced at Montreaux "this is Heavy Sausage, I hope you enjoy them". No other Band had such a launch. Yet I came to appreciate even more the Vegan Sextet "What's all the Falafel about?" who themselves stormed the stage to the religious words "let's all give it up for Lentils".
