The one being sold at amazon.ca doesn't appear to come with any cd at all. So, I don't think I will be rushing to make a purchase.

Re: New Cohen Book?
The description of the book on Amazon.ca is very different from what you describe, Jarkko. This is what they say for the book description Focusing on a man who succeeded unlike any other in reconciling literature and poetry with pop music, this analysis digs deep into the work of Leonard Cohen and f...

Re: Impromptu singing in Toronto last year- YouTube
It was a fantastic day. I love being reminded of it. That was the first time we had heard him sing in many years, I was very lucky that it was in my hometown and I happened to be there!

Re: Book of Longing CD
Tom, I was in a little record store the other day and I saw there was a copy of the cd here! I almost felt like buying it because I love Leonard's drawing so, but then I remembered that I decided I had no need to hear that cd. Anyway. I can certainly get you a copy and send it to you before February...

Re: Lee Hazlewood and a mystery song attributed to Leonard
It is wonderful when we can find a new song. It is especially great when it is performed by the great Lee Hazlewood. I am still saddened by his recent death.

Then he deserves to be in this hall much more than Leonard Cohen!
I really hope you will find a Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame discussion group somewhere. This topics lack of importance just amazes me again and again.

Re: Getting off our musical islands
Hey Joe, I listen to a lot of classical music. I always have. It is the music I grew up with and I think it left me with a great taste for music. I also listen to a lot of Blues. I also enjoy punk, some reggae, electronic, and some other music. I have even been known to throw on a country tune at ti...

Re: Book of Longing CD
I have seen it twice now. I saw the premiere in Toronto and I also went to the Barbican show. I wanted to see how the show developed. I do not think it is the strongest of Philip Glass's works. I tend to like his instrumental work the most. I too have a problem with the Broadway style of singing. Th...

Re: Leonard was our Special Guest at the London meetup
The London meetup was a wonderful event. It was amazing to see so many great friends again. Padma certainly chose a lovely location for the event. I was probably the only person who didn't arrive at 12 on the dot, but I had a hell of a time making my way there. In any case, I was there long before t...
