yeah - it'd be better to hide the answers.

Here's a way to do it:
http://relay.twoshakesofalambstail.com/LC_FAQs

-using Erik Bosrup's "overLIB" to make
the answers into "tooltips" (- "context helps").
(Requires javascript enabled.)

It might be a good way to do the FAQs, if and when they exist.

tera- we gotta get you a girl. But you'll have to learn how to *properly* operate one first. Start with a butterfly. Pull off its wings. then glue them back on. -see if it flies. ---------- that's lesson #1. a few more like that and I am confident that you'll begin to see a sort of light. Then we'll...

remarkable feat of memory! Well, I have pretty well memorized it - I've seen it enough times. But I also have a couple of different transcripts, and early versions of the script. And I could also rewind and check the tape if it ever came to that. I hardly ever read fiction, but somebody did turn me...

Sounds like a pretty good 'guess'. - was said about something nasty I'd said about Google. But I didn't mean it. Programming is easy and fun. Maintaining and upgrading programs is not easy and not fun. It is impossible to do without introducing a unlimited number of new bugs. And that's what Google...

...is not the worst troll we have ever had here -right - that's what i meant. ---You're much more likely that one. But no, seriously people, after a 5 year study I can aver that Michael has never -and could never - exhibit any kind of true troll-like behavior. ~greg OFFICER JACOBS: IS IT TRUE WHAT ...

then again it is not entirely impossible
that i got at least a few of the lines right
- by shear dumb luck ....

"Who knows how famine is used'
- was how i heard it

-- but reading lizzytysh's interpretation of it here
-is the first time it's ever struck me as even remotely plausible...

. . . PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE !!!!!! it was And who knows how famine is used {?}. --- NOTICE THE '{?}' ? These were my transcriptions, and I tried to get them right, but I did not. There are many mistakes I don't know about. But the places where I'm certain I got it wrong --I tried to indicate w...

"Perth" wrote> poor ~greg still wondering what it all means ~ That was true, I had not read very many of anybody's posts here. And I just assumed that 'Perth' was Michael, - pretending to be dull. However, I have now read some of your posts. And although I think you do maintain a healthy negative at...

Your Mother's unavailable then? - "Perth" I asked everybody on the planet, (except you, because you'd lie) and they all said the same thing: "Perth" isn't any real person's name. It might be a city in W. Australia, except that any city with nothing better to do than post one-liners to a LC exchange...

well, i donno,
i wouldn't put it that way myself,
exactly.

Let's just say it was 90% perspiration,
- if it weren't for the cold-snap.

A round of applause is heard from the peanut gallery.... Anyone with an ounce of sense would have been aware of BST! Must everything have to be s-p-e-l-l-e-d o-u-t ? Obviously, for posters such as ~greg. Is that the best you can do? I already know more about YOU! I know for example that you have re...

Do you have any idea why Google has made it impossible to post through their service? Jarkko Sorry, I didn't know what you meant. I think I see what you mean now. . Apparently the answer is that Google doesn't give a "Reply >>" option to older posts. In other words, if you go The Leonard Cohen News...

the Comp, is, I'm afraid, fixed. ...entries *must* be in by midnight Friday GMT. Yes indeedy, a dirty little fix indeed, -that, - so that now, as you've set it up, on Friday, people from all over the world will be calling up London, or London up, to see if it's not too late for them to enter their ...

Thank you, J-man. I donno about Google, 'cause I never used it for that. However, if, say, you follow the link you've got for "The Leonard Cohen Newsgroup (via Google)", and then click on any post's "read more >>" link, and then click the "> Reply" link (--or click the "show options", and then then ...

There is now a tentative (beta) SEARCH BY AUTHOR feature at: http://lcngarc.twoshakesofalambstail.com Here are a few words about it. It wouldn't be hard to make a fill-out box with a cgi script attached to do the search. However, you'd then have to know exactly (-more or less) what you want. And the...
