Re: LC will receive his Glenn Gould Prize, May 2012

Very exciting! My hometown. I don't know how a guy like me could get into that kind of thing though....

Re: Listen to "Banjo"

From the interviews I think that this album is small or simple and the next one will be more complex with songs like "The Street" and "Born in Chains" He also said in 2008 that he had recorded a new album but the new band was so good that he wanted to record it with the band. There is a lot of synth...

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Lisbon, July 30th.

You suggest that LC played Keyboard during "I'm Your Man"

When I saw LC Dino was playing the instrumental breaks. Has Leonard Begun to play it?

1988 Bootleg

Friends - There's a circulating 1988 full length show. If I remember correctly it's quite long and in spectacular sound. It used to be up on Dime a Dozen but it's not anymore. It was always my favourite boot but the hard drive I had it on crashed and I would like to try and get it again. It's not Al...

Re: ICT's Epic Jouney to the Victoria Show

Thank you, all. It was an experience of grace. The way 7,000 people were absolutely silent during the recitation...It was just a great, great night. Thank you to everyone.

ICT's Epic Jouney to the Victoria Show

Due to medical incarceration I was unable to buy a ticket for the Victoria show. I had always vowed that there was no way I would ever miss Leonard Cohen should he perform anywhere near me. But this time I had to miss. I resigned myself to that fact. I once waited 13 hours in front of CBC Vancouver ...

Re: Happy Holidays - from Leonard

Leonard's horses don't look like they appreciate the snow. They sure look pretty though! Does anyone ever catch him out riding?

So Long Marianne

My favourite recording of So Long Marianne is from a show recorded in Zurich 1993 (pm me and I'll email you the mp3) and I'll have to admit that the new version as heard on the Moncton '08 recording left me asking...why? I am hardly qualified to ask such a question since I am unable to travel across...

The Un-smokey Life

Friends - I gather from comments by Anjani that Leonard quit smoking several years ago. I remember being astounded at the tenor vocal of " Nightingale" on Dear Heather. Anyway, in the press kit interview for Ten New Songs he was seen to be smoking so it had to have been sometime in 2001 or later tha...
