But maybe he also now dropped the idea he will finish next record until August 2012. The rehearsals will take at least two months as well... He tried to finish Old Ideas in 2010 in-between tour legs gap of 7 months, but didn't make it.

Am I being perhaps a tad optimistic in hoping that these clips may be for another new album? I know he's never bee profilic in terms of songwriting but I think I remember reading in the mojo interview that Leonard hinted that he wanted to finish the next record before touring again. Seems a bit late...

Well because the album need to be supported by single and clip when it is released... E.g. when Croatian TV plays "Top of the Shops" weekly chart, they don't have any video to play when they say "And on place number one, Leonard Cohen's Old Ideas" and so for 5 weeks... Any TV sho...
