Re: Leonard Has Passed Away

I'm terribly sad but also so grateful. His songs have been the touchstones and guideposts through my life. It is comforting to know that will continue. Thank you.

Re: Sad news: Arlene Dick has passed away

I am also saddened by this news...I met Arlene only once, in Nashville, where we shared a meal with a group from this forum and then attended the concert the next evening. I had the great good luck to sit next to her at dinner and talk to her for a couple hours, and she was everything that has alrea...

Re: Nashville

Hello all - Thanks for the kind words and concern and my apologies for not posting my status sooner; I've been visiting with my parents down in Florida for the past week and haven't been on the computer much. My family and home are fine after the flood - I live on the water and so was pretty nervous...

Re: 2012 Leonard Cohen Event

Hi Joe, It was really good to see your post and I'm fully supportive of Madison as the location. I think the combination of your experience and the fact you a located there will make for a great event and if there is anything I can do to help I'd be happy to do so. Let's keep Nashville in mind for a...

Re: 2012 Leonard Cohen Event

Hi Lizzy, I completely agree that Joe or Bonnie's willingnes to organize is a key factor in determining the location and that's as it should be. I'd volunteer to organize a Nashville event myself, but given my lack of experience in such things and the fact I've never been able to attend an event cau...

Re: 2012 Leonard Cohen Event

Hello All, Madison is a lovely place and would make a wonderful location for the event. I spent a week or so there several years ago and it is a great town. That said and since Joe mentioned it up at the top I thought I would raise my voice for my adopted hometown...if Nashville is still of interest...

Re: Photographs of Leonard Cohen On The Web

I also recently saw this one, which I have never seen before, and does not appear to be included on the site Arlene posted. I don't know where it is from; I'm hopeful Jarkko or others can enlighten me.

Re: CONCERT REPORT: Nashville TPAC, Nov 5

Hi all, I was at the concert in Nashville last night (along with Arlene and Dick Straub and Ken and Cara (MusicCityGypsy) and everyone - big 'Thank You" to Cara for organizing our meet-up on Wednesday night.) It was a truly great show - I think Arlene's report sums it up very well. A few of us...

Re: SET LIST OF THE FALL 2009 TOUR IN USA

Yes, Arlene is right - he did "The Darkness" in the new song slot instead of "Hey, That's no way...". This was a different new song than the one played in Durham. First line was: "Caught the darkness, drinking from your cup" - I stopped writing and started listening at ...

I just bought tickets on the website for Nashville. I am sweating bullets over here, but it did work. They are also answering the phone as previously posted.

I'm experiencing the same thing in Nashville - it keeps kicking me out after entering the code.
