Re: Nathaniel Rateliff presents a night of Leonard Cohen

No recording link for this, but I was lucky enough to witness Nathaniel covering Leonard's "Chelsea Hotel #2" sung as a tribute to Leonard's recent passing. This took place in the Colston Hall (now Bristol Beacon) Bristol, UK on 19th November 2016. I believe he performed it at a few venue...

Re: Registration to Copenhagen is now open

Hi Wendy, Radisson Blu is a good choice and not far from the center. Yours, Amrei Unfortunately a bit pricey for me Amrei. I regularly use Motel One in England & Scotland so I thought I’d try their Copenhagen hotel, about 2/3 price of Radisson for a decent sized room ( smaller options are avail...

Re: Registration to Copenhagen is now open

I know of several people that booked the Scandic Palace hotel. Be prepared for some stiff rates when booking hotel accommodation in central Copenhagen Thanks Hugo. Yes, Copenhagen hotel prices are almost invariably eye watering. We usually stay at the Clarion at the airport but I suspect that would...

Re: Registration to Copenhagen is now open

I can only echo what everyone else has said! Thank you for organising what is shaping up to be a great event and I am very much looking forward to being back in Copenhagen, a city I used to visit frequently but haven’t been to since December 2019. Do you have any suggestions yet for suitable hotels?...

Re: Today is Leonard’s 89th birthday…and the second year of silence

What a fascinating zoom session! Well worth sticking with if you could. Big thanks to Robert* and Marie for arranging the demonstration of the work that has been done on starchive and to Robert* for the fascinating insights he gave us into the archive process and possible future uses of the material...

Re: Five-disc retrospective box set of the 1972 tour + the film Bird On A Wire

Yes, HugoD, I lost money on an advance purchase of that Special Edition….. And I wonder, then, Wendy, if the Robert De Young movie is using Palmer’s original footage, or if there is another source for the unseen material. Another one who lost money here …. I would suspect that de Young is using Pal...

Re: Five-disc retrospective box set of the 1972 tour + the film Bird On A Wire

Thanks for posting this Ian. One of the video exhibits at the Everybody Knows exhibition in Toronto was a short film featuring footage from the 1972 tour. The exhibit details stated "This unseen digitized 16mm footage of Cohen's 1972 tour is sourced from a new film directed by Robert de Young. ...

Re: Troubles between the family and the management

This whole affair makes me feel very uncomfortable and I am sad that it has come to this but I think we have to refrain from judging the merits of Adam & Lorca's case or condemning Robert Kory on the strength of newspaper reports and leave it to the LA courts.
