Re: Fleetwood Mac - Platinum tickets!!
Someone recently said to me, blame illegal downloading. The artists are losing out and therefore live touring is their main income. Hardly the case with Fleetwood Mac who've long since made their money. This is exploitation and total disrespect of their fans imo.

Re: Fleetwood Mac - Platinum tickets!!
If enough people boycott these things, theyll have to have a re-think (and so will the artists when they see empty rows at the front). I'm just off the phone from Ticketmaster's "platinum partners" website to ask if "market prices" would mean that if the tickets were not sold by...

Fleetwood Mac - Platinum tickets!!
Just spent this morning (and Wednesday morning in the 02 presale) trying to get Fleetwood Mac tickets for next September in Dublin. Tickets sold out more rapidly than any concert I've tried for before and no joy. Which is fair enough... or is it? I then decided to take a look at these so called &quo...

Re: My new Leonard Cohen website
Gwen, (I've been calling you musicmania 'till now), just discovered your website - I stand in total admiration. Really excellent and clearly a labour of love. You deserve to meet Leonard (maybe you have). Well done.

Re: Filming at Concerts
I'd won tickets to the second show 2 years later so entered via the VIP bar so if there was warnings that night I didn't hear them and my seat was a long way back from the stage so I was snap happy and he was in a happy mood that night too even though he was in a lot of pain. I was there that night...

Re: Filming at Concerts
Can you honestly say you have never watched any of the concert videos? I always keep my camera low and check with the people behind that I am not in their way. I know not everyone does that though. I for one will treasure the photos I have from the concerts forever and I will also treasure the vide...

Re: Filming at Concerts
I was at a concert with Mark Knopfler in Dublin a few years back and he stopped between songs and pointed out a person holding a camera with red led flashing! He very forcibly insisted on the person putting it away and I have to say the crowd really appreciated it. Cameras all disappeared for the re...

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Dublin Sept 11, 12, 14 & 15, 2012
While I much prefer to witness Leonard live I love the videos as it means we can relive the magic over and over again. Indeed, the live experience is magical, however aside from people walking back and forth to the bar etc., it can also be a little frustrating being sat behind someone holding up a ...

These comments.... were they written on ... The Wall? :-) Well The Wall belongs to Roger.....but that's a whole other story! ;-) Anyway, with the passing of time (and not enough time to locate them in David's website) these are the best I can find (via David's blog master). http://www.davidgilmourb...

I'm curious.....
Having been in and out of the Dublin 2012 RHK concert topic for the last week or so, I'm struck by the dedication and knowledge of Leonard's keen fanbase. This got me wondering which other artist influences prevail amongst his fans and what or who brought Leonard to your attention! For me, I still h...

When it was announced that the legendary Leonard Cohen...................................................how grateful I am to be on this planet at the same time as Leonard Cohen. So very well written musicmania, I really enjoyed reading your account - I'm so pleased for you that your week has been ...

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Dublin Sept 11, 12, 14 & 15, 2012
Could the fellow concert goers be affecting the reputation of memorable concerts? Could the organisers and concert goers have made a more sympathetic environment to have helped rather than challenged the performance? There's always going to be thin line between the more casual fan enjoying the occa...

Re: Dublin seating plan
I wonder if anyone can answer this. I bought a ticket immediately once the presale link became available for last nights show. I selected ticket of price €85.60 Best Available. At the time it wasn't clear from the seating plan where I was but I guessed I had a good seat as I had purchased immediate...

Re: Dublin seating plan
Does anyone else who was seated in Block A feel aggrieved after last night's concert. Apart from the joy of being in the presence of the great man, I might as well have been at home watching him on DVD! I guess you were in one of the side blocks, A3, A4 & A5 were great - sorry you didn't get a ...
