Re: CONCERT REPORT: LG Arena, Birmingham UK - Sunday 8 Septe

The guy right of centre who was hassled was two rows directly in front of me - I'm not sure what he was doing as neither I nor my neighbour saw him holding up even a phone camera - he was sitting in front of the speakers - maybe had a recorder in his lap? I enjoyed the concert very much, though audi...

Re: BIRMINGHAM MEET UP?

Sorry, being a Sunday my transport options were limited. I'm not arriving in Birmigham until 4.30 and my hotel is out near the NEC. I think I'll need to get sandwiches at M&S.

On another note, has anyone got their tickets for Birmngham yet?

Re: URGENT: LONDON AND LEEDS RE-SCHEDULED

mnkyface: Actually, if you don't live within walking distance of a venue and can't or choose not to drive, it's difficult for most people to go to a Leonard concert without travelling or staying the night as the concerts are a welcomely decent length and stop after public transport in most cities. I...

Re: URGENT: LONDON AND LEEDS RE-SCHEDULED

So sorry for those affected. We all know how expensive travel and hotels are, and this is totally inacceptable. As this was totally foreseeable and easily preventable, I agree with the advice above for Brits to check out the Small Claims Court. Even more concerned for people coming from abroad with ...

Arthur Smith sings Leonard Cohen at Edinburgh Fringe

For those who wished Leonard would come to Scotland and were disappointed, maybe this is the next best thing:

I heard it got a great reception last time round (13 years ago) but didn't see the show.

Re: PRESALE TO THE UK SHOWS

Oh, I had to be away from the internet yesterday, and didn't notice that I was logged out when I came on this morning, but on a whim I've got a ticket for Birmingham. Block C Row C. Thanks Jarkko and Marie. Please come to Glasgow next time, Leonard: I might have someone to be at the concert wi...

Re: Concerts in Dublin confirmed

Oh this is so difficult. I passed on the European dates due to expense. Dublin would be cheaper for me, but I wish I know if/when there might be UK dates, and if so, where. I can really only afford one concert and it would be a shame to book Dublin, with flights and hotel then discover he's playing ...

Re: Hope for Europe? (Several threads merged)

Couldn't find any cheap flights to any of the announced venues, and with the ticket prices and accommodation, decided I'd have to forgo this time. News of more UK dates is cheering. :D

Re: CONCERT REPORTS: Paris September 28, 29, 30, 2012

@mabeanie/Wendy: You're correct on both counts, of course.
I was wandering around Montmatre today wondering if it really was five, and listing to the Old Ideas album on the plane coming home. Thanks for the correction and the setlist.
