Re: leo at molde
Few on this site are more reticent than I (sadly), but I couldn't help but comment on the beauty of that portrait! The sepia one is gorgeous, also...as are so many of yours. I was awed the first time I came across one of your renditions and looked up other Geoffrey posts in amazement...but posted no...

Re: Happy Birthday, Leonard!
You've enriched my life so much with your words and music, Leonard, and I'm so grateful that you're still at it at eighty. Enjoy your entry into octogenarianism and may you feel the joy forever that you bring to all of us!
Love always,

Re: The birds they Tweeted at break of day...
Kinda disappointing to come here to enjoy the tweets and find these disparaging remarks. There are threads that don't interest me, too, but I don't go to them and certainly don't have any less respect for them just because they're not my preference.

Re: Is It Just Me....
Thank you, HelenOE, for saying everything I wanted to say. I like to hear what everyone says about a performance and would have no trouble skipping over what doesn't interest me, just as I do with anything I read. It's very heartening to me to read hardened professional reviewers, who have been arou...

I dunno, Athnuchan, sounds pretty cool to me. And I don't see that Leonard had anything to do with it.

Re: Do all of Leonard's fans understand English?
I agree with HelenOE that you're not talking Double Dutch, drsing. I only wish I had a great interpretation for every lyric! And, yes, different people have different interpretations and certainly change their own on occasion. I came along so late in the game and had such a mountain of treasures to ...

Re: Do all of Leonard's fans understand English?
Thanks for helping to enlighten me, Lizzy, Wendy and Inna. I agree with your beautiful descriptions of the power Leonard has even for those not understanding English. And that's kind of amazing as he's so beloved for his lyrics! Truly a double threat! (Or triple, quadruple, etc., depending on what y...

Do all of Leonard's fans understand English?
I realize that many countries put us Americans to shame by speaking our language while we struggle to come up with a few words in theirs.....at least, speaking for myself, that's true! But I've been amazed at how Leonard can skip (literally...) from country to country and fill venues singing three h...

Please reread all above raves to know how my husband and I felt (and still feel) about that concert. And so nice to find ourselves sitting near the Ways. Many thanks to those who provided videos so we can keep reliving those magic moments!
