Re: Leonard Has Passed Away

There's a concert hall in Vienna
Where your mouth had a thousand reviews
There's a bar where the boys have stopped talking
They've been sentenced to death by the blues

Re: Do not read this thread, I posted it.

Damn, my reputation precedes me once again. Actually, there was no irony, sarcasm, or any 'side' in what was written. However, you want to play a game, and yes, I know this isn't seventies, but this has always trumped everything- http://www.last.fm/music/William+Shatner/_/Lucy+in+the+Sky+With+Diamon...

Do not read this thread, I posted it.

Being a Cohen fan you get used to hearing countless terrible covers; then you hear something that simply transcends the ordinary work-a-day cover and touches the sublime. This is not a Cohen cover, of course, and I suspect most of you will hate it. Fair enough, but I did tell you not to read this. B...

Re: Accommodation in New York

For those who care, we are booked in at the Milford as well. As good a deal as you could find for the quality and location i.e. not staying at a roach motel near an airport.

Re: Thank You Jarkko!

Don't get too sad about me not having 2 to sell. I would have scalped them at tout price levels to offset the cost of the whole trip, so it wouldn't have helped you any.
Would that have been wrong?

Re: Thank You Jarkko!

The biggest thankyou imaginable to Jarkko. I am posting here as I have heard how many emails he has been getting, not least from me! Anyone who gripes is probably too computer challenged. Worked like a dream. One thought, I only bought the 2 tickets I needed; didn't want to deprive other fans of the...

Re: Worst ever LC tracks

is there anything which doesn't sound better in French than English?
Michael, of course not, but you are never supposed to actually say this. This is the real reason the English hate the French.

Re: Pre-Sale Tickets (from Ticketmaster)

The main problem is Ticket Master is a de-facto monopoly. Monopolies do not provide a good service and charge exhorbitant prices. Just look at the 'booking fees'. Those alone are more than the cost of some events.

p.s. Be thankful. Here in the US we have no dates at all.

Ticket Allocation

It does strike me that the proposed method for advanced booking is not going to benefit anyone it was intended to. Jarkko, perhaps you should consider a more closed, less arbitrary approach. I would suggest only emailing the password to those who have attended one of the events (1998 onwards) That s...

Re: ?????

The tour was not announced until January 13th. Before that it was just rumour, like every other year there was going to be a tour. The January before every other event from Hydra2002 on had almost 200 signed up. I repeat, there seems to be something not quite right. I was genuinely concerned about t...

Oprah is only familiar with things she can make money from. She is a used car salesman with delusions.

Hmmm, acres of mud and most people going home before Jimmy Hendrix takes the stage. I do hope it will be nothing like that.
